Shane McGuigan won the Ulster senior title, Irish under 19 title and English Novices. He was also an Irish international. Pretty good for someone who "done nothing"atsch
and your were one of the people that said Bowes done nothing when he got to the qaurter-finals of the commonwealth games so make your mind up!
Decent as in the same O Hara Davies was decent. He would have no chance of winning the Senior ABA;s over here or getting on the GB Podium FACT
Trained by the Irish Reggie Strickland. Apart from sniffing around other people's gyms over the years, his main claim to fame was shouting a tirade of abuse at the late Emanuel Steward in the Wladimir/Haye build up, I remember.
Hang on. He won an ulster championship. Ulster continually provides Ireland with its best boxers. Carl Frampton, paddy Barnes, Brian magee, Eamon Magee, Wayne McCullogh..... The list goes on. To blatantly belittle the Irish amateur boxing scene is just narrow minded and ignorant.
Where did the OP hear that he's left Fitzpatrick? Cause I can't find a single story saying that he has.
Excactly what it says. You and others rubbished Bowes at the commonwealth games, but the fact is he was a better amateur then Mcguigan he just doesnt have a famous daddy.
Groves should go back with Booth. He is a great talent and nobody knows him better than Booth - who is one of the best trainers in the UK.
