There has been no official withdrawal from groves tho? That is merely an answer to a question from the press that should groves not make it who would come in to replace him

 

This is 2 weeks ago. There’s still 8/10 weeks to go before the end of July deadline.

Kalle has said Groves has 10 days to confirm whether or not he can make a July final.

 

This is the sort of thing that can happen with these tournaments but no fault of the organisers.

 

Groves may retire soon anyway, if he's back training now, could he just risk it?

 

Personally think he would, considering the money on the line,a chance to take the trophy and likely crowned the de facto No1 at the weight.

Think the injury could be the end of him, but I hope it isnt. Wont really know until his next fight but to be fair, he doesnt strike me as the kind of person who would want to fight knowing he is seriously injured.

 

Especially not having watched his former mentor get destroyed by someone not fit to tie his boots in his prime...
