Groves made Eubank look like an Amatuer.
    I scored it 118-110 groves
It looked like GG scored a knockdown with a jab and a check left hook through the ropes but couldn't tell from replay.

Groves stuck to a gameplan and Eubank looked lost.

Eubank was wary of getting smacked IMO.

GG also bossed the fight off the ropes by luring him in and making him miss then immediately spinning him or leaning on him knowing full well the ref will call break and boom they are back at distance again where GG is in control.

Eubank had success with a long leaping left hook but it didn't have the power.

I was surprised at how tired Eubank looked in there, so much for his engine.

I reckon groves must of hurt him multiple times which sapped his endurance.

Anyway great fight and a lot more cagey then I expected. GG boxed like I thought he would but Eubank surprised me by not having the ability to get inside cleanly and often enough to let his hands go.

Like I said Eubank can only fight one way, and it only works against stiff idiots.

No chance. Eubank had no power at SMW Groves was the bigger and stronger man so if Eubank put it on him then there would be only one winner - Groves.
Groves is world level Eubank European level.

Was expecting a late stoppage from Groves but this showed that he was a level above Chris. Chris is a decent athlete who can take a hit but far more is needed than this to reach the top level of this sport. Eubank needs to make some considerable changes if he is to come back well from this.

It will depend on what both fighters do from here. If Groves wins the tournament outright then that makes him the #1 in the division.

Is he not already number 1 in your eyes? Curious, not having a dig.

As of this fight, he is in my eyes. I'm just trying to illustrate that losing to the number 1 guy in the division doesn't make you the sum of hype.

I don’t like being one of those ‘I told you so’ people....

    But I told you so!!!

Eubank got outboxed. When he tried to work him on the inside, he got tied up. He’s been matched against fighters who either have cement in their boots, or who enjoy a good scrap. As soon as he’s in with a boxer with quality footwork and fundamentals, he was out of his depth.

That was 118-110 for me. The scorecards were appalling. He should go back down to middleweight now.

I am completely baffled as to how that lad was made favourite or even how it was billed a 50/50. I have seen absolutely nothing in Juniors career that would give the impression that he is a world level fighter. Nothing.

What I will say is, he took his beating like a man. He never gave up. His chin is pretty impressive. He has tons of heart and desire. I respect him for fighting a world level fighter and not some old age tin can or novice for a matalan belt.

It's not the defeat,it's the manner of the defeat that makes him a hype job.His boxing skills were none existent. If hI'm and his dad hadn't built him up into Marvin Hagler over the last 2 years then I would commend him for trying tonight. But if you chat constant **** and then perform like someone devoid of boxing ability,I would say that qualifies you as a hype job.

When the boxer and father has tricked usually intelligent boxing people that he is going to 'destroy' that number 1 in the division. The number 1 in division many on here were telling to retire at 27 after a split decision 'loss' to Jack on a Mayweather card. I believe people have a massive right to gloat and call Eubank hype. It's not that he lost it's the way he lost.

I agree it was comfortable for Groves but some people are acting like it was a bit wider than it was really, few very close rounds in the middle of the fight, with Groves starting and finishing (bar the 12th) stronger. I had it 116-112

I'm made up Twentyman. You said this louder than anyone stating your point more eloquently than I can but I've agreed with what you said from the start. I'm enjoying everybody giving GG credit as I believe you will be because we've been championing him when most others wrote him off.
