I actually agree. I certainly didn't see it coming. I thought the best I could hope for was a close points win, but I'd be a liar if I said I gave more than 3 rounds to Eubank.

I'm just worried that it will be attributed more to Eubank's lack of skill as opposed to Groves fantastic performance. I don't think the hype around him is false, I think Groves got himself into superb condition and boxed an incredible fight.

Was never in doubt since the fight was made.Eubank is an awful boxer with zero fundamentals and it showed tonight..........Cue all the casuals bigging up Calum Smith if he wins next week.

That's it in a nutshell. How many world class fighters lack punch power footwork and ring IQ lol. Well done George Groves, feel sorry for Callum Smith if he wins next week another delay in his career. Day one thing Eubank wouldn't have went past 6 rounds against Callum Smith as he wouldn't have tied him up when close he would have smashed him to pieces with bodyshots.

Callum will give Groves a much better fight than Eubank did,and he won't chat **** before or after the fight.

    Boxer puncher vs crude slugger.

Still can't believe the bookies had junior odds on. Laughing all the way to the bank tonight. I've never been so confident putting a bet on.

I'm always nervous when a man I like is fighting. Especially against a man I dislike. But tonight I was cool as a cucumber. That old saying of bookies never being wrong had been blown out of the water tonight.

Cheers bud, thankfully I wasn’t beating the drum on my own with the likes of yourself saying same thing.

On a separate note, hopefully that shoulder isn’t too bad or that could be Groves sadly finished. We’ve seen what happens to quality fighters when their shoulder proper goes...like Degale & Haye. Fingers crossed he’ll be back.

Bloody Groves cost me a tenner by not knocking Junior out :-D

lol what a great performance by the Saint. Good footwork, changing the tempo, staying outside, jabbing, right hand up for protection most of the time, manhandling junior inside. And still it was intense up to the last second and beyond.

And, no, Junior is not going to be able to change his style significantly. Not enough to put him on a level with top level operators. He won't. He punches too fast in the gym to rethink and remold himself.

That's exactly what I thought. He needs that jab! I'd be gutted if his career comes to an end on poor performances due to an injury. If it's a dislocation, I could be wrong but I think I've heard it can be popped in and be good as new. Hopefully there's no worse damage.
