Bute would be a good fight, Bika easy title to win, Groves could be big in America he has shown how good he really is, going to be in some big fights for the next decade

Groves still has to work on a few mistakes he is constantly making. Froch fight showed he can mix it at world level... But remember this.... Not everyone is going to be as easy to hit as carl froch.

Groves had a three fight deal but it also had an expiry date which had already expired before the fight with Froch - hence Groves has had no promoter since before the fight, and Hearn said he thought negotiating a new deal in the build up wouldn't have been appropriate.

Would Stieglitz want that fight now?
He dodged a major bullet last year, IMO.

If he did it would have to be in Germany.I could see Groves doing very well in a distance fight, but he's already been robbed in his last one,and the Germans can sometimes be dodgy, though of course,we are a lot worse.Regarding Bika,he can be a bit naughty with the head,as Micky Vann says. And that might not be good for George.

Exactly this. He needs a tune-up fight against top quality opposition if the Froch fight doesn't happen. People are getting a little carried away after the Froch fight. Yes it was a very good performance, but no elite boxer in the division is as slow, or easy to hit as Froch. He'll get a title I am certain, but he needs to take the right path.

He was talking about fighting in America.Maybe a win on a big Vegas bill against somebody on the fringe of the top 10 would be good.Id like to see it in March at the latest. He should have a title now,but the fact is,he hasn't,and was stopped in his last fight. Not his fault, but thats how it will be seen away from the UK.

Magee would be a pointless fight, he is shot.

Bute, Froch and Kessler within the last year have all KOd him.

It wouldn't gain him any credit at all, much like his win against Johnson.

Almost impossible to make a statement. Kessler stopped Magee in 24 seconds of round 3, having dropped him 3 times in the previous two rounds.

Unless Groves were to stop him early in round 1 he's not going to look any better than Kessler who is supposed to be 'shot'.

EDIT: It is a low reward, medium risk. Magee is shot and has a glass body but an iron chin. Grove's doesn't work the body very well at all - like Haye he is a headhunter.

If Magee took him the distance or worse floored him, it would actually be a set back. Whilst a KO win gains you nothing. Much like heavyweights fighting Audley!!

With De-gale looking likely to get a shot at the WBC title assuming he beats periban, it could turn out to be a great year for our SMW's.

You have Froch holding WBA / IBF (and looking like he will go another route - ie: chavez)

Stiegletz would be a great option for George, he just needs to find a promotor who can deliver!!

That said, even if we end up with 3 champions, they will still all be bowing down to Andre Ward , who is the don in that division

Will be an intresting first 6 months or so of 2014

I would've picked Groves to beat Stieglitz when it was supposed to happen last year.
I think Groves wins that fight by highlight reel KO.

Groves is highly ranked by all the belts except the WBC, which Degale one of the highest challengers for. Groves has the chance to go for 3 belts and should get at least one title shot next year.

If he stays without any promoter I wouldn't rule out a DeGale rematch later in the year if both are at a loose end. Would be a big fight on Channel 5.

Kessler isn't a bad shout but he's on the slide in my opinion. What's to say Groves doesn't fight Chavez in Vegas himself?

Thats a great idea, and probably just the kind of fight he needs,I think.A win here, added to his Froch performance, and he's capable of beating anybody at the weight, bar one.And I think he will move up next year.
