I wouldnt say beat his ass but he sure did have Pacquiao stumped when they sparred allot of that had to do with Guerrero is a southpaw as well a legit Southpaw where as Manny is a righty converted Southpaw. Guerrero used his range, timed Manny when ever Manny came in, and on the inside Guerrero would work and tie manny up you could visibly see a frustrated Pacquiao. Keep in mind this was back while Manny was still at Super Feather though...
joe may just be being kind since guerrero is by his side in that video. joe posted way back that, robert was going all out and pac was not. pac was more focused on working out on their fight plan for an upcoming fight. (john garfield can correct me on this since that post would probly be about 3-4 years old.)
So? From the sparring footage ive seen of Karim Mayfield sparring Pac he was 'beating him' Pac rarely 'tries' in sparring.. Why the f8ck do you think Roach pays Pac to motivate him to get knockdowns? Also It's Roach's gym.. not Mannys. Since when has Guerrero been on Pac and Mayweathers level??? After brawling Berto to a 12UD?
Mayweather right there was just testing himself to see how his body would deal with taking punishment.. Kept his most basic instinctual defence up and let the other guy do his work. Was probably thinking about what counters he'd throw in a real fight. A real thinking boxer.
Umm I was there for one of their sessions cant tell you how many times I have seen them move around together I only saw one session. and in that session Manny was like a deer stuck in the headlights thats the truth. I think it was a combination of Guerrero being a southpaw which off set Pac, but also the fact that this young up coming fighter was taking this session that serious... that too bothered Manny. but in all seriousness you cant say a damn thing about what Manny was more focused on and what not.... you simply do not know...
Yep, even tested the canvas to see how soft it was. :yep Seriously though, it shows sparring is a **** indicator of how a fight would go.
Paul was nearing the end of camp, floyd had just started camp. Manny was closing in on his fight when he sparred Guerrero. Trolling aside though, I agree. You cant gauge a fight on sparring.
He wasn't testing ****, him and Roger challenged Spadafora and wanted to record the sparring session because they said Spadafora would get his ass whooped. You don't do that and then take punishment on purpose.
Yeah, kinda lame, but this guy doesn't get much attention. He had to be his own promoter and start being brash. I don't blame him, it paid off.
Let's all remember Khan sparred evenhandedly against Pacquiao when it was clear Pacquiao could flip that switch and **** him up if he wanted to. Rocked him with a three punch combination.
i knew there was another wildcard person posting on this board. thanks for setting the record straight. a lot of these ass clowns have no clue.
