you thought Walters would KO Loma too. Your opinion is biased and worthless :deal::thumbsup:

Rigo wins this one, as much of a Loma fan as I am. I just know Rigo has a bag full of tricked ready.

Yes this,I don’t look at this fight in terms of weight just that Lomo being younger, more active and more prolific whereas Rigo just won’t do enough in my opinion.

if I was you I'd put as much money as possible on rigo. The odds are incredible seem this is a '50-50' fight.
    7/2 I believe he is.

Indeed remember that Japanese guy who looked like he’d been in with Mike Tyson afterwards,he was considerably larger than Rigo.

They're closely matched, but the size disparity gives Loma a large advantage.

This is a weight bully fight reminiscent of Canelo's bull****.

Rigo is being forced to yield to the A-side that is Loma.

I can't help but think the same people saying the weight disparity isn't important are the same people who said Jacobs only came close to beating Golovkin because Jacobs blew off the weigh in.

I like Chenko by late KO, it's going to be a great fight though. In the end though size deficit + age deficit is too much and There is a lot of both.

I'd be shocked of Rigo wins. Loma is 2 weight classes above him and Rigo is already small for his division. Also factor in that he's 37 and has fought like 3 times since 2014.

    Nope.
    Gomez - Sanchez
    Whittaker - DLH
    Whittaker - Trinidad
    Taylor - Norris
    Spinks - Tyson
    Hatton - Mayweather
    Foster - Ali
    Lewis - Louis
    Arguello - Pryor
    DLH - Hopkins
    Tiger - Foster

    And I could go on.

But the little guy ALMOST ALWAYS LOSES. And really, always loses when he is older.

Paquiao is really the exception, and he had help.

    agree completely

Loma, his skills and accomplishments aside for a moment, is a fanatical student of this sport; few are in a position to appreciate Rigo's skill like Loma.

what's more, the "size advantage" that Loma apparently has is overstated in my view--in part because of the re-hydration clause, and in part because Rigo has a seven cm reach advantage on Loma (despite Loma being taller by four cm). If anyone has a "size" advantage, it's Rigo--in boxing, reach means far more than height; weight is a non-factor because both fighters have the same weight limit, and the rehydration clause limits Loma re-inflating by fight night

No it doesn't. The rehydration weigh-in is 9am on the day of the fight. The fight will be closer to midnight EST. The fighters will have more than 12 hours to eat and drink. Chenko could easily put on 5 more pounds.

That was all window-dressing to sell the fight.

Golovkins fans, for instance go on and on about Jacobs missing the day of the fight weigh in, but Golovkin himself was 169, a light-heavyweight at that weigh in which again was 12+ hours before the fight. He was probably close to 175 in the ring, Jacobs was proably 180 or so.

They made weight classes for a reason, and if reach was more important, they would have reach classes. Rigo has a longer reach because he has broader shoulders which are useless in boxing. No other reason.
