    Gus Ruhlin ,The Akron Giant.
He had the size 6' 2'' 200lbs, nearly as big as Jeffries.
    Wins over .
    Sharkey
    O Donnell
    Choynski
    Maher
    Goddard
    Everett
    Draws with .
    Hart
    Ferguson
and , JEFFRIES,when both were green.
Ruhlin as his record shows , was inconsistant, but film of him against Jeffries shows a very mobile big man ,quicker on his feet than even Jeffries, imo.
Jeffries destroyed him in their rematch ,terrific performance, but how good was Gus on his best nights?

Well, he drew with Jeffries and didn“t beat him. He was as good as any top contender of any era IMO. Probably would have done well in any era. I think he is about on the same level with Vitali Klitschko, Ken Norton, Jerry Quarry, Ingo Johannson and fighters like this. A notch behind fighters like McVey, Jeanette, Max Baer, Tunney and fighters like that.
