Guys who would beat Kessler

Calzaghe is a great fighter. Kessler was competitive against him and lost by 4 points. Kessler also fought Calzaghe on Calzaghe's turf.

When Kessler fights people who are not among the best, he whitewashes them. The fights are not even competitive. 12-0 against Andrade. Bute even if you take away the 12th rounds (which you obviously shouldn't as its a 12 rounds fight, not 11), was only winning 8 rounds on 2 of the judges scorecards.

Everything points to the fact that Kessler can compete with the best.

again reading mikkels mind, an absolute pleasure debating with a psychic.. please show one piece of evidence, that mikkel has stated, he doesnt want dawson..

come on, ive read a lot your post, but your picking and choosing is just plain out hypocritical.. HIS PICKING OF TAYLOR.. can i please ad, that taylor is former undisputed mw champ, beating a close to prime hopkins twice, that in itself shits all over dawson resume.. so going for taylor, who has beaten hopkins is legit, eventhough taylor lost to pavlik..

my point is, that hell yes palle and mikkel knows its a tough fight, but ill bet you anything, mikkel as a championship fighter, is ready to go.. this is palle in a nutshell, milking kessler and doing what he can to protect his investment.. its not a THEY-DECISION, its typical palle-decision..

well there are those who think chad will win via shut out, and those who think mikkel will ko chad.. i couldnt give a ****, thats their view.. to me its a close fight, where we have seen mikkel vs joe and dawson vs johnson, both these fights show the fighters weaknesses, and this would be a great fight.. but that palle disagrees at this point in time.. again he proves he is a douche bag and a ****wit, if i didnt know better, i would think he was american ;-)

Kesslers camp ducked Dawson. They know he'd get massacred. He'd fair no better then Adamek, who fights at cruiser now.

mikkel almost matched joe in speed and footwork, but was just edged out.. but so was bernard hopkins.. hopkins who later demolished pavlik because of his footwork and speed.. this to me shows, that mikkel could hang with hopkins and other elite fighters, and actually i believe he could win..

its not about a beats b, b beats c and bla bla bla, its about noticing the small differences, and they are there to be seen, you just gotta look a little closer at times.. but for some it easier to say, euro bum robot, without really watching the fights..

to me theres only a few fighters, who can beat mikkel.. there is none at mw, and there is none and smw.. at lhw he would be seriously tested by hopkins, dawson and joe.. and perhaps old man johnson..

Taylor is coming off of two losses(one by knockout), is coming up in weight, and is in no one's top two. You claim he's only going after top 2 guys, but that's not true. Haussler, Sartison, Miranda, and Taylor are not top 2 guys.

The weaknesses exploited by Johnson, Kessler can't capitalize on given his style of fighting. Dawson, can however, captialize on some of the weaknesses that Calzaghe exposed. More of Kessler's weaknesses were exposed as he lost a wide ud. Dawson won on all the cards.

Kessler is a soft fighter with a padded resume. I'm not surprised that he's European.

one was a comeback title fight, the other was a forced mandatory, thats old news, but hey your running out of arguments, thats the safest bet to dig up old ****..

taylor is more proven then dawson, deal with it little reggie.. his resume even with losses, is better then dawsons..

perhaps its only a 40 somewhat year old johnson who could do a number on dawson, perhaps it aint.. time will tell..

Really, well he claims he wants to be a big name in Ameirca. HBO is interested in a Dawson/Kessler fight. If Kessler can speak for himself, why doesn't he state his feelings on this matchup? Why did he let his promoter shoot it down and say nothing?

I'm running out of arguments? Kessler went after Miranda, he's not top 2. After that fight bottomed out, he went after Mundine(he's not top 2). After that fiight didn't pan out, he went after the vacant title by fighting Sartison(he's not top 2). Since Haussler was rated higher than Sartison, that fight went down. Kessler is now targeting Taylor who isn't top 2 either. For a guy who only goes after top 2 guys, he's going after a lot of guys outside the top 2

Taylor's resume is built off of one man, Hopkins. Other than that, he hasn't beaten anyone. Regardless, who's resume is better; Miranda or Dawson? Who's more proven, Miranda or Dawson?

Kessler doesn't have the skills or fighting style to exploit Chad's weaknesses.

Johnson lost the fight, UD. He didn't do a number on anyone. He pushed Chad pretty hard though. However, Kessler fights nothing like Johnson. Even if he could replicate Johnson, Johnson's efforts weren't enough to win him the fight.

You need to accept that Kessler wants no parts of Dawson. Kessler's a good fighter, but he knows his limits.

 

Dawson hasn't called out Kessler so naturally Kessler is not ducking him so you are wrong...

Mikkel is only 29 so he have enough time to shut up all the haters.. or the ones who doubt him, and he will! Hopefully Kessler vs Hopkins can be made early in 2009, and all the "big names" in america will see why they have a very good reason to fear him. Just ask Joe C.

 

Given that Kessler didn't have one of his best days against Calzaghe I'd like to agree with you. Hopkins is an excellent measure stick to really gauge Kessler's potential. Team Palle should work his rear end of to bring this fight to the audience. I imagine loads of great punches thrown, provided Hopkins agrees to box instead of spoiling. For Kessler, a victory would definitely kick in the doors to American boxing. So what is out there to hang ones hat on that this fight can be made. Well, Kessler did speak to Hopkins in person at the Calzaghe-Jones fight.:happy

 

Kessler would be fully focused when matched against someone like Hopkins probably winning a wide point decision against fighters like Dawson and Johnson.I would even bet my money on to win a one sided fight against that old geezer Hopkins.
However,Kessler will probably have a tough time against an opponent whom he takes lightly underestimating his foe's determination to dethrone him.

Someone like Inkin or Tsypko is able to upset him IMO.

 

This post makes next to zero sense. You claim Kessler would go up to LHW and beat Hopkins, Johnson and Dawson in one sided fights but could lose to half ass fighters like Tsypko and Inkin. Did you not forget that Tsypko lost to a one handed Lacy who was fresh off the Calzaghe beating? It's amazing how much some people overrate Kessler.

I hope to god Kessler actually gets to fight either Hopkins or Dawson.
