haggler chewed up and spit out strong, strong guys like roldan, hamsho, antuofermo and scypion. they were bulls. remember, the belts weren't so fractured then. hagler ran from nobody. haggler-mugabi making the rounds on this thread, i see...that was a diminished hagler against mugabi (also diminished in his next, and last, fight vs leonard).
would GGG lose to a shot, half-blind SRL ? how about draw with Vito Antuofermo (who went 0-2-1 over a 3 fight span and was KO'd earlier by a guy with 24 losses)
Haggler gets knocked the **** out (worse than Pac) . GGG much superior conditioning, much harder hitter. Probably the hardest middleweight hitter. Remember --- Antifermo owned Hagler.
yep. what was mugabi's record when he fought hagler? 26-0 with 26 ko's? old ass hagler ruined him.. took his soul.
This is getting ridiculous. Some clown even saying apart from knocking Hagler out GGG is better conditioned! I despair I really do. All mainly on the basis of stopping the legendary Matthew Macklin! Hagler walked through Thomas Hearns FFS apart from Mugabi,Roldan and other big hitters. I like GGG but he needs to do a helluva lot more to be even mentioned in the same breath as Hagler.
Too soon for this one. If Golovkin picks up another 5-10 wins with great performances, I may enter the debate. As of now, I respect Hagler and his accomplishments too much to make any kind of argument for GGG, and I'm one of Golovkin's biggest supporters on this site.
Leonard was shot and half blind? AFTERWARDS, he drew with Hearns and knocked out a much bigger (albeit inferior) LaLonde. Plus the fact that Leonard was waiting for Hagler to slip-which he did- before challenging him. And did you see the 1st Hagler-Antuofermo fight? Myself and most people that saw it had a 9-6 type decision for Hagler. Plus he hammered Minter, who beat Vito and then came back to hammer Vito.
