Thing is, u could NEVER write hamed off in a fight with his one punch ko power, imo he was a mere shell of his former self (mentally) when he fought barrera, true barrera fought an absolute flawless fight and did everything right, marquez would be an interesting fight, and the outcome would completely depend on how focused marquez can be, imo the only way to beat hamed was the blueprint barrera laid down, make one silly mistake and hamed was quick enough to capitalize on it and put you to sleep.

Not sure about this one but as usual Hamed is grossly underrated on this forum.

I think Marquez would probably have the edge but your right. I've never seen a fighter as underated as Naz is on this forum.

Marquez is way too big for him. And way too technical for Hamed's goofy style.

Hamed Knocks him down several times towards a lopsided decision.

HAMED is a Southpaw, a much better southpaw counterpuncher than Freddie NORWOOD (Southpaw) and Chris John(Southpaw)

If those guys can defeat Juan Manuel, I think Hamed can hurt him real Bad.

    Marquez TKO10

Marquez holds the edge in technical skill and counter punching ability. Seeing how Barrera outclassed Hamed, I'd pick Marquez to do the same. He'd outbox him early, landing effective jabs and controlling the pace. As the fight progressed, Marquez would step it up, countering Hamed with precise/accurate shots. After rounds of accumulation, I see him stopping a busted up Hamed late.

Marquez UD, unless Hamed lands a monster punch.

Despite being floored numerous times (due to poor balance) Hamed was never close to being stopped. If a peak Barrera couldn't do it I fail to see how Marquez would manage it.
Once again, Naz is the most underated boxer on this forum.

At the time Marques was very much a defensive fighter. He only recently started investing more into offense. He would have fought a very carefull fight and boxed his way to a UD>

Marquez is the worst style match up for Naz you could get.

    Marquez easy UD.

I don't know about out right ducking him but you are right his management wanted nothing to do with Marquez adn yea Steward did confirm this. Hamed did want the fight though.

marquez will counter the whole fight. hamed will realize he's not in the circus ring no more. hamed will have a hard time against a technician unless he'll catch jmm with a lucky punch. but i dont doubt hamed's power.
