You could even tell with Marcelino Nicolas Lopez who you recently saw, who usually walks through the punches of everyone without flinching, the first round against Cano, he was feeling almost every shot that landed. Had Lopez not violently knocked him out in the second round, he would have really been in for it that night. Thankfully Lopez probably hits harder than anybody Cano has been in the ring with.

I just watched it. Everything Cano throws sounds heavy and hurtful and he's relentless. Even if you catch him with a good shot it doesn't deter him from coming forward and throwing. That was a beautiful right hand over the top from Lopez and I think it would've knocked out pretty much anyone at the weight.

Promoters have contracted dates they need to fill with their broadcaster if they just put them on other people’s platform they can’t honour their contracts. I would love to see an event with Canelo vs Saunders, Crawford vs pac, AJ
Vs Fury, Usyk vs Joyce all on one night but it’s completely unreaslistic and financially unviable.

That event with those three fights you mentioned would likely would likely require purses of close to $25m before any other fights are on the card or event costs. At $99 the event would likely do 500k buys.

after broadcaster splits the event essentially breaks even and all promoters have used up 6 of their top fighters for one night with no payday and on someone else’s platform.

only way we get close to events like that is if one promoter takes over like Matchroom on Dazn and signs everyone

I don't think that he had damaged Loma.

However this really did not had mattered how " hurt " or not hurt Loma was, he only needed to get Loma down at least 2 next episodes for a count and the he had been touted instead of Teo as great boxer etc.
Linares actually was only one boxer who had fought vs Loma to be close to this situation.
He, despite get proper liver punch and therefore had been finished, had performed before this vs Loma better than Lopez, Campbell and Salido if take their fights vs Loma together.
Lopez fooled Loma and most likely assumption was that he will mandatory go for a stoppage win. He appeared more smart than ppl assume and manage to fool Loma. He had achieved vs olympic amateur superstar thing like Briedis did not managed to do vs Usyk, Usyk then barely had won this one with jabs.
Yeah, Lopez too appeared like level above Salido.
Lopez even likes me but his dad is no comments. Dear God.

I get all. I'm not complaining, just stating that it would be nice to see a PPV event filled with 3-4 meaningful fights.
