Tech startup Jabbr.AI has posted its judgement on Instagram. You can check it for yourself.

Can't wait for Teddy Atlas' response to this process. Or Lennox "Marble Mouth" Lewis's reaction.

Well, I guess it sorta confirms what the majority of those who scored the fight thought. Lomachenko won.

You know Loma should get the nod when a lot of his detractors are trying to call for a draw.

I do wonder how the AI measures high impact though, but the difference in punches landed feels more accurate than compubox.

It's a good thing to develop, but in order for this to be credible, there're a lot of algorithms to be proven and accepted as giving a credible output. So far, there is no good information on how this works.

Stats are meant to be verifiable. Video feed gets clipped around the moment a punch lands so that humans may verify.

I find their rbr comparative stats really helpful as a visual that's way better than the raw numbers.

Last time I was looking at their stuff I made a mental note to find out what High Impact is to them, must do that.

And again - can not always properly consider if it's purely landed and if it is a hard punch. Which can be verified by authorities, true, but changing the process of judging a fight this way will delay the official announcement and that can be considered a problem by some. I am fine waiting for a proper judgement.

    Load of tosh

Loma fans are seething and coping.

Acting like this was robbery of the century but it wasn't.

Get AI to take over boxing judging and keep the programming away from Top rank.

Agreed, high impact? how a fighter reacts to a punch seems to me how that is measured

Yeah, obviously who knows how accurate this is but Loma having more clear, impactful punches aligns with how I saw the fight. People overrate half-landed body shots with barely anything on them.

It runs in real time. Results are almost immediately available. GPU clusters are very powerful.

Oh, man... Just for the last time: when they show the algorithms and are big enough to be considered credible, then come and talk to me about GPU and clusters. And being real-time, they depend on camera angles as well or you'll tell that there's some 360 degrees camera out there even. Otherwise I am "for" some AI usage in order to improve judging in every sport.
