I won't survive if Lomachenko doesn't win this. He needs to be the man Andy Cruz takes the belts off. It's his division, and his story.

Saw the Haney fight in person in Melbourne - seats weren’t too flash but I could tell he’s very rangey. The Ukrainian Loma really is coming across like yesterday’s man….not as busy, older and probably distracted by the conflict, so I think I’m leaning towards the Afro-American Haney.

just because Haney isn’t knocking everybody out doesn’t mean he can’t punch if that was the case guys would just walk through him, instead they get gun shy if you pay attention to loma last fight his words when Haney stepped into the ring were telling… What is this a heavyweight? When he saw the kid Loma already dropped his title once and look at how long it’s taken for Loma to actually sign the fight. Haney is bigger, stronger, faster, and a adequate technical fighter, Loma with his movement and angles will always be a issue but idk looking at how all these guys seem to try to move around Haney gotta read the tea leaves.

I think Haney gets the jump on Loma whose been a slow starter recently, I think rounds 4-9 Loma tries to turn up but gets hit with a counter punching clinic and late in the fight in the championship rounds I can see Loma being the one running the clock but then again it’s very well possible that Loma goes out on his shield maybe not a stoppage but a prolonged clinical beat down. I think Haneys size combine with his skill is going to be too much, Loma vs tank,Shakur are more winnable matchups for him just because they don’t have the length.

no other option as Haney is the undisputed champ and would be his biggest money fight next to tank, which we know tank been running from Loma for years. When Haney stepped into the ring after Loma last fight vs jermaine, Loma called that boy a heavyweight. As a fan the ONLY reason I even know who Haney is, is due to Loma dropping the title instead of fighting. Loma a bad MFer Nomaschenko was going crazy so for him to say nah I’ll drop the belt over facing Haney made me say dang ok who is this kid. But for me the easiest way to make me a fan is to beat somebody I like I respect great fighters and great competitors.
This Haney kid got the whole 135 shook guys dropping out of mandatory positions, making excuses talking about being a world champ don’t matter, gotta respect it when you see, especially when the fighters are telling you.

Loma wouldn't be as cautious this time like he was against Lopez cause I think lopez hits a lot harder.

This is a great technical fight, problem is that it might be boring for most.

As has been stated already, Loma must pull one of those legendary performances that true ATGs are able to do. Loma must be at the very best he can muster right now if he is to have any chance.

I think Loma is the goods and will be all that he can be on the night.

Why is Haney a clown? He’s a respectful young champ.

I don't see Loma beating Haney at this point. A year ago, I thought Loma was still a bit too much. I no longer feel that way.

I agree that Haney's length may very well be the difference in the fight. Likewise, I would not be surprised if Haney is up a couple of points heading into the championship rounds.

I don't necessarily agree that Haney's faster, however, and if he is it's not so pronounced as to be a deciding factor.

Loma can still throw blistering combos in spots, and he remains fleet of foot (though not as quick as he once was).

Additionally Loma's experience fighting longer, fast opponents (Linares, Ortiz) should serve him well in this bout. Moreover, unlike Ortiz who likes to throw punches in bunches, Haney is something of a sharp 1-2 kind of fighter with a very good if a bit more predictable approach offensively.

That predictability, coupled with Haney's relative lack of power, may allow Loma to find his rhythm and get in a groove earlier in the fight.

What are you smoking and when did Loma "drop the belt"?

Loma was set to fight Kambosos which he would have blasted into next year (unlike Haney) and then Loma would have owned the belts but instead he took up arms to defend his country.

You really think Loma is brave enough to fight against the Russian army but he's afraid of feather fisted Haney?

I think people are still overlooking Haney's power. Not the hardest puncher but also not featherfisted. He still punches hard enough for Loma to at least be respectful about. Haney really could have stopped Kambosos in his last fight.

Hoping Loma still has enough in the tank to make this a highly competitive fight. It'll be a crazy comeback for Loma to beat Haney and finally earn the undisputed title that he's been pursuing.
