I have seen you eviscerate posters for their stupidity, & have seen folks who do not seem to understand the physics involved.
    Even about basic punching mechanics.
I've been on a baseball forum where people argue aout whether a swing goes up or down not when coming off the shoulder, but before normal contact! At least one person arguing for a "downercut" had significant playing & Professional reporting experience.
Fuhgettibout those who argue against weight shifting during a swing & for the "squish the bug" theory.

    Now A.A. hitting as hard as L.L. would be a s t r et c h for sure.
But it is not a lack of trust in your honesty but a different assessment of the lack of understanding of some.
Like that the original examples of lighter divisions still does not show that some cannot misunderstand this as intending to apply in absolute terms.

I do think that people mistaking the chin of say a Hagler or Lamotta with the best HWs is more common though.
Since punch resistence is less dramatic than strikes.

Some of what razor ruddock and lewis hit tyson with before he went down.

    Shavers right hand to ali.

I saw Randall bailey hit miguel cotto with a straight right hand that bounced off him but should have put him in a coma.

The first punch of the fight Tyson vs Holyfield, there is another angle of it on youtube somewhere, he knocked him all the way across the ring. Holyfield was determined not to get hurt that night.

In keeping with the topic (hardest punch that DID NOT result in KO or KD), I thought of tis:

Dwight Muhammad Qawi in his ‘Best I Faced’ cited a shot in his first fight with Matthew Saad Muhammad — he said Saad hit him and for the rest of the round he was seeing MSM upside down.

Imagine the power of a punch to damage, even temporarily, brain circuitry to the point that one is setting upside down. Imagine being in that position in a fight with the guy in front of you (upside down from your point of view) being a world champion capable of doing such damage still trying to take you out. i can’t fathom Qawi weathering that to continue, much less to win the fight.

Sept 23 1952, Rocky Marciano kayos Jersey Joe Walcott in round 13 after trailing on the judges scorecards, that right hand in pictures distorted Walcott's face.

Right hook Chop Chop Corley caught Miguel Cotto with. I'm shocked Cotto didn't go down because he was basically unconscious on his feet for 2 minutes

That may well be the single hardest punch ever.
Or not; however not having a result of a KO or unconsciousness does not prove other shots were ahrder-punch resistance, precisely how someone was hit & other random factors influence it.

But folks have been saying here that the thread question is the hardest punch received where someone did *not* go down.

Although it was an illegal punch, the one Tomas Molinares landed on Starling was pretty damn hard, Starling's memory was all over the place!

    This maybe THE answer.

OP himself cracking a guy who didn’t read/interpret his thread premise properly.

Fair to say it was Lights Out when he landed the second punch.

Annnnnnd i'll still guarantee you literally nobody misunderstood it wasn't P4P. You obviously missed Arguello and co. in the opening post. It's ok, it happens. Heaps are still nominating punches that DID cause knockdowns. Nobody however is nominating punches on the pure basis of them being from a heavyweight and nobody has questioned a single post that nominated a non heavyweight. The only mention/confusion of such matters has been from yourself.

Time to move on and honor the thread topic.

The first ones that came to mind were exactly what came to the mind of the redoubtable @Pugguy. Man Ali took some monster shots from that king of bangers, Earnie Shavers. I will spark the brain and try to think of some more for this most interesting thread.

Why thank you JT. I’d like to say that the cheque is in the mail but a certain debtor <cough, @swagdelfadeel > has fallen well behind in his own payments to me. You know, the old pass along effect.

I might have to attach a garnishee to Swag’s wages, I’m sure he can spare it, I mean, he owns multiple houses, doesn’t he…..? Could well be the wealthiest guy on the forum….
