Hardest to beat fighter in each weightclass

What's your opinion on the hardest to beat fighters of all time in each weight class?

I don't generally follow the smaller guys, so will start at 130 up.

130 - Floyd Mayweather Jr
135 - Pernell Whittaker
140 - Pernell Whittaker
147 - Sugar Ray Robinson
154 - (where he would have fought) Sugar Ray Robinson
160 - Roy Jones Jr
168 - Roy Jones Jr
175 - Roy Jones Jr
190 - Evander Holyfield
HW - Wlad Klitschko

This list isn't a "Best of all time, best resume, best whatever" - it's guys who you think would be the hardest for any fighter to beat at that weight class.

Who you got beating this version of Wlad easily?

He has longer reach than Lennox with potentially more power and these days, as good, if not better gameplan going into each fight.

His height makes him daunting for anyone like Tyson.

Ali would be blasted away by him, not used to the size and speed of Wlad.

 

Anyone with a punch has a great chance against Wladdy so he doesn't belong anywhere near that list.

 

Wlad at HW is a joke.

Ali or Lewis.

 

Sanders, Brewster and even Purrity whipped him, I expected to see Prime Tyson, Holmes, Ali, Lewis, or Louis.

 

Vitali is probably harder to beat.

Larry Holmes would blast both of the Klit bros outta the ring. in fact, Earnis Shavers vs. holmes I & II would've KOed Wlad.

 

atsch He has already lost to a 37 yr old golfer, unheralded Brewster & clubfighter Purrity. FFS Fat Peter had him panicing not too long ago, he would panic against Tyson.

 

And Hopkins lost his first ever fight at 160, Sugar Ray Robinson lost to a crude slugger called La Motta, Lewis got sparked by Hasim Rahman.

Fighters have bad days, it's the nature of the sport - very few fighters get through a career without a loss.

 

you're kidding right? have you seen Lennox throw a punch? the difference in the length of either boxer's reach is extremely noticeable.

Yup, if you're going to put any Klit on there it should be Vitali. A huge guy with a long akward style combined with a good chin.... he'd be difficult for anyone to beat. Although I still wouldn't say he's the most difficult fighter to beat in the history of heavyweight boxing.

 

Vitali could be harder to beat, but I don't think he's as good as his brother. For all the talk about Wlad in the past, he wasn't in his prime like he is now.

Like I say, judge them on their best night, not their worst and I think you'll find the combination of Wlad's power, height, movement, reach and combinations make him the hardest guy to beat at HW.

Some could argue Lennox Lewis, some could argue Vitali - instead of putting down my selection of Wlad, make your own.

 

No he doesn't. Lennox has a 4" reach adv.

HW it should probley be a toss up between Tyson and Ali. Both fighters brought A+ skills to the ring mixed in with Ali's footwork and Tyson's bob & weeve defence. Either is a nightmare.
