Thats been going on for years in Liverpool. Theres a joke where a kid asks a bloke if he wants his car looking after and the bloke says no, it'll be OK I'm leaving the Doberman in the back. "Oh yeah?, says the kid, "it can put out fires, can it?"
i always thought that was a bit of an old wifes tale considering nearly everyone who has been to Liverpool it has happened to :yep
I don't know about now as theres more secure parking about but all through the 70's and 80's it was a regular scam for the local kids on match day when Liverpool or Everton were playing. The owner didn't have much choice TBH it was either cough up 50p/ £1 or get your car scratched and windows smashed....bit of a no-brainer really!
Not been to Echo but been to Olympia. If I can, prefer not to drive in these situations so took the train and stayed overnight.Went in nearest pub to the Olympia and had a great hour, roughish place but friendly people, which i knew about Liverpool anyway.More ale in the Olympia and a good nights boxing, bad head in the morning.Car safe(ish) at home though. Want Price to win if only because hes the prospect ,and comes across as a decent lad. However, got to be careful.Audley might be a bit of an underachiever but they dont give gold medals out in lucky bags.
I have been to the Olympia, and it's cold and seems like a place of sickness and illness. I did not enjoy it at all, felt abit weary in the area aswell.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_-BoAw0l4Q[/ame] Or even better yet, it would be funny if Audley Harrison started to refer to himself as the Axeman. Turns up with his Axe in a Michael Myers mask! But he will still be giving interviews and speaking just like everything is normal.
Nahh it's unhygienic place, it's probably never really cleaned. I was forced to eat from inside that place, some hot-dogs and chips etc Knocked me sick, and it's was freezing inside. A part of the balcony collapse aswell. I was in the VIP area. I will only ever go to live boxing shows, if i am personally ringside. "Most of the time, the best seat in the house is from you're home"........
brilliant arena - big multi-story car park about 1 minute away as well as another near the liver building and several others.... in the arena itself, there's not a bad seat in there!
