Oh, a person I respect told me Douglas Cavanaugh saw the film. I'll PM You. Did you or did you not see the film? My ascertain is you did, and I have names to prove it. So clarify here.
So who exactly told Mendoza that Doug had identified the film? Did he make that up himself or did Kurt tell him? If Kurt told him that then its just another example of him misrepresenting which further hurts his credibility and his contention that this is indeed a Greb film.
Why do you have such a hard time answering the question if you saw the film and who showed it to you.
Only those with really bad agendas or those who do not know how to score a fight think Ali beat Frazier in 1971. Yes- that was laughable, and his sudden appearance and attack tells me all I need to know. Have fun going down with him. I hope yer boy does not read this. You and I agree here
Why not talk about how John Sheppard kicked your silly anti posts off the Box rec forum :deal You bash people you never meet.
This thread is beyond you, but when I quoted Smith who said Jack Johnson's reign a negative one, I was not putting words in his mouth. Your memory is noted as being bad here. Maybe you can get Klompton to answer some questions. I asked the guy a few times if he saw the film and who showed it to him? NADA! Sooooo how can one call something a fake without examining?
Thanks for your kind words Steve. Yes in regards to Ali vs frazier I was trying to balance a one way argument ; there are many who felt Ali won. I must admit when I first got into boxing with my dad and we watched the fight we saw Ali as the winner. Ali tinted glasses so to speak. . .clearly Frazier was dominant in a tough close fight. I rewatched it a couple of days ago funnily enough. As I have grown to love and appreciate Frazier after these years I scored it in a more balanced view. It was definitely closer than one of the scorecards though Frazier won. It was perhaps the finest ring performance by any fighter in history. Mendoza ; as a 'newbie' I find your observations and fact finding very weak and it seems that you are trying to incite Klompton for the sake of doing just that rather than help clearing up a film mystery. Am I wrong?
...and by the way in regards to me being a newbie ; when this website first began I was the assistant editor to Mark chekanovsky (what happened to him)....only time constraints (as usual) prevented me from continuing.
I think its funny that ive answered every question posed of me and somehow mendoza wants to pretend i havent while ignoring the fact that the fight was held at night for pages and pages and pages until finally being forced to admit it. Hes quoted experts, one of whom ive illustrated weakness of his argument, the other comes here and denies ever supporting the contention that the film is genuine, all the while doze argues more vehemently than the guy who started this yarn and who incidently cant back up a single claim hes made despite saying he could. I find it all humorous. You have one guy who is a proven liar, that has been caught doing this multiple times, and knows damn good and well he cant back his claim supported by another proven liar who doesnt know his ass from a hole in the ground. Comical. Two peas in a pod.
Really, I didnt know that. Were you editor when I was a writer here? Back then they dealt exclusively with Eastern European boxing, hence the "east side".
I honestly do not remember - I just checked my emails and I was doing that in 2004 I think. I remember many of the writers struggling with their grammar and getting about thirty articles at a time to 'sweep up'. It was fun while I lasted - but extenuating circumstances and all that...
If thats the case then why is every post Ive ever made about Kurt still there and Ive provided links to them here.
