    Rademacher, although to be fair, he was fighting for the Heavyweight Championship in his first fight. The fact he even got a knockdown on Patterson is impressive.

    Second that one.Bet he doesnt and hope he does well.Deserves a bit of luck after the olympics.
    Mark Rowe was a top amateur with a high profile as amateur boxing in his day was regularly on TV.Lost his debut to a little known pro,but went on to have a good career.

    Michael Bentt was born in England but raised in New York. He trained at the New York Recreation Gym and won the New York Golden Gloves Heavyweight Open Championship in 1984, 1985, 1986, and 1988. Results:
    1984 Finals: Defeated Timothy McGee of the Yonkers Police Athletic League (RSC-1)
    1985 Finals: Defeated Alex Stewart of the 2nd Floor Uptown Gym
    1986 Finals: Defeated Webster Vinson of the Bed-Stuy Boys Association
    1988 Finals: Defeated Ike Padilla of the Yonkers Police Athletic League
    Won the 1984, 1986, and 1987 U.S. Amateur Heavyweight Championship

    Lost to Ray Mercer at the 1988 Olympic trials, and again at the box-offs. Bentt won the right to fight on the Jamaican Olympic boxing team but refused when he was told that he would have to give up his U. S. citizenship.

    Bentt turned professional under Emanuel Steward, and was knocked out in the first round by Jerry Jones in his pro debut. Bentt maintained that neither he nor Steward knew Jones was a southpaw.
