On Monday I'm going for a two week training camp in Lithuania. Will also have two fights. Was supposed to enter the Bocskai Memorial Cup in Hunargy, but it fell through for some reason... Anyway, already had three fights this month! Looking forward to next month.

This will impact my upcoming fight(s):

About a week ago we heard that my trainer has cancer, in his stomach and throat. Yesterday we got the news that it's terminal, and treatment will probably extend his life by mere months. He gave his last training today. So next Saturday we're fighting for him, that's how it felt to all the competing boxers. The pressure feels insane.

 

Now I get paid to do it too! :happy

It's the only way we can honour him. He's been giving to the boxing school for over two decades, there's nothing else we can give him back.

 

No, the Norwegian Boxing Federation pays me for being on the national team now.

I didn't even know that was possible, making money fighting as an amateur. That's pretty cool though.

Yeah it's pretty ****ed up. You know how closely knitted a boxing gym is, it was very depressing tonight in training.

 

Haha, yeah. They're really putting a lot of work into us until the European Championships this summer, and the next Olympics.

I know... It's just like one big family.
