Or has anyone even got a ringside report or two about this match ? Some people here have said it was a bad decision. I know George Chuvalo thought so (Chuvalo also thinks he won the 2nd Ali fight, which I haven't seen in its entirety either).
No I haven't seen it but I did read the Ring mag cover of it. Its been so long but it doesn't ring a bell about the fight being that close. I hope someone else responds on this one. Chuvalo thought he won the second Ali go??? It was very much one sided, I remember reading a Chuvalo quote after the fight, that it had been fun, and the writer thought out loud, it was fun having your head hit continuely with punches?
I got the fight. Let´s say that Terrell won the fist 11 rounds and Chuvalo the last four. Of course Chuvalo finished the fight on top, but he had lost way too many early rounds. 11-4 Terrell. Woller
At the end of the fight all the reporters and photographers swarmed Chuvalo. they clearly thought he won.
I watched a documentary on Chuvalo recently, and according to them, yes, the press thought Chuvalo won. However, it was not an unbiased view. It was very pro Chuvalo. At the end of the fight, the press swarmed Chuvalo and practically ignored Terrell. They showed film of that, and it's a decent indicator of what the press at ringside thought.
Why the blazes don´t you watch the fight??? I have it 11-4 Terrell and I am a huge Chuvalo fan!! Two officials have it 10-3 and 10-2 for Terrell in Chuvalos adopted country. Hi SuperSouthpaw - Best news I have had for a week, and the same to you. I don´t think that I will miss anything. Woller
