Has anyone rewatched Hopkins-Calzaghe in Slow-Mo?

    With all the rage that is rewatching fights in slow-mo, has anyone done this?

    With Floyd-Pac, it wasn't a particularly close fight, Floyd clearly won, and disgruntled fans are now grasping at straws.

    What about in a legitimately close fight that could have gone either way, like Hopkins-Calzaghe? I can't be arrsed to do it, and I think watching fights in slow-mo is beyond silly, but nonetheless I'm hoping someone else does.

    Yes, Calzaghe won every round from 4 onwards, 2 and 3 were draws and Hopkins shaded round 1.

    Don't need slow mo, I watched it real time Rumsy and think Ex won 6 rounds so the kd brought him home a winner.

    In all seriousness, which 6 did you give him? I scored the fight similarly (114-113) but respected the decision, and I was truly impressed with Calzaghe that night. It was the only time I had ever seen someone outwork and outhustle Bernard in the championship rounds, and to this day I'm disappointed we never got the chance to see a rematch.

    Calzaghe appears to throw more punches in slow-motion than in pseudo-real time (slow-motion is the true time).

    A lot of phantom punches were missed by the judges and the compubox numbers are WAY off.

    Calzaghe won that fight 13 rounds to 0.

    I can't remember tbh, I think I gave him the first 4 rounds, or 5 of the first 6.
    I'll rewatch sometime. I remain convinced to this day Ex won, and although Hopkins is one of my favourite fighters, Ive nothing but respect for Joe, who was under-rated for way too long.

    That fight was hideous enough in normal speed. Slo mo would drive a lot of people over the edge

    No need for slow motion you can see 80% of Calzaghe's blows are ILLEGAL!! slaps. Delivered by the inside of the glove. It used to be called lacing. No way in Hades Calzaghe LEGITIMATELY won that & he knows it. Hence ducking the rematch in Wales:patsch

    I've done so at least 150-200 times, and triple that amount in normal speed.

    Hence why I was able to spot all the subtle headbutts B-Hop sneaked in that many missed. This is just a small selection of some of them by way of an example.

    9-3 or 8-4 with a flash KD, so 116 -111 or 115- 112.

    Which is how the two American judges who can actually see, scored the bout.

    If you watch Calzaghe slapping in slow-mo you'll at least give Hopkins a draw.
