Don't get how people can criticise Hearn. Brook was 'injured' twice and and Alexander pulled out once which meant he lost his world title shot. Had he won then plenty of doors would have opened. Brook is clearly a lazy ****er. Rarely comes in on the weight and is making a mockery of the public with his attitude. Only person to blame in all this is Brook himself.
You hit the nail on the head, he also had a chance to fight Tim Bradley, Clottey, Mike Jones and none of these fights happened. Brook is to blame.
The fight didn't happen with bradley because they turned it down as a team, i bet the offer will of been rubbish and at that time he was close to the alexander fighta as a mandatory. #When did he have to option to fight mike jones? He was set to fight the bailey/alexander winner.. never rememer him being offered a fight with jones.. No idea about about clottey but heck clottey probably had no title either.
If he actually wins the IBF belt against a past it Paulie who is barely ranked in the world top 10 that still really isn't a good enough step up. The closest he's come to that is baulking before refusing the Bradley match 18 months ago.
His career has stalled. A few factors in it, promoter, luck and the fighter himself all take a portion of blame. He's been ready to step up for 2-3yrs now, and for whatever reasons it hasn't happened.
I seen Kell Brook at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow about six or seven years ago when he done Kevin McIntyre in one round for the British title. I thought then he was going to be the next star of British boxing, but seven years later Kell's best win is Michael Jennings.
Looked sensational that night abso blew Kevin away , Baffles me hes been around 10 years now and stalls time after time , his talents unreal and quality and accuracy of his punches is like no other out there , he needs to focus and very quickly at that as hes killing himself to make Welter so times running out
