Has Canelo ever defeated the #1 in any division without controversy?

I can make round one even if I like? How kind of you to allow me to score a round the way I see it. Canelo won the first 4 rounds, he came out and put on an outboxing clinic. GGG looked totally confused by Canelo's movement in the first 4 and a half rounds. It wasn't until the end of the 5th that GGG finally landed some decent offense and started to make it more competitive. The 1st and 4th were close, but Canelo edged those rounds. I gave GGG the 5th somewhat out of pity after he lost the first 4 rounds because he finally did something and landed a decent shot down the stretch of the 5th when Canelo was on the ropes and GGG finished the round with some decent offense, but even giving GGG the 5th is a stretch considering how well Canelo did in the first 2 minutes. Round 6 could go either way, rounds 7-9 GGG on work rate, rounds 10-12 Canelo.

So lets review - Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, and 12 Canelo. Rounds 5, 7, 8, 9 GGG. 6 is debatable. You end up with 8-4 or 7-5 Canelo depending on how you score round 6. To get a draw you would have to give GGG either round 4 or round 1 in addition to both rounds 5 and 6. For you to give GGG every round from 4-11, I'm embarrassed for you to give such a laughable score.

How does a judge scoring a match wide prove that someone was paid off. Outlier scores happen all the time in boxing you conspiracy nut. Was the judge who scored SRL over Hagler 118-110 also paid off? Byrd may have given too many rounds to Canelo, but at least she was paying attention to what happened and saw that Canelo was fighting his fight and getting the better of GGG round after round.

The only thing separating Byrd's card from a close but clear Canelo scorecard are Byrd's scoring of rounds 8 and 9. These were rounds that GGG outworked with activity Canelo but in each of these rounds Canelo landed the most spectacular single shots in the round. I don't begrudge a judge for scoring a round for the fighter who landed the best single shots in a round while his opponent outlanded him in overall punches. If those single shots are far and away the most spectacular punches of the round, if the quality of the opponents punches who outlanded him with glancing shots weren't as significant as the big single shots, he don't deserve to win the round. Canelo's uppercut and straight right hand in rounds 8 and 9 were better than anything GGG landed in those rounds. So we can understand the divide here as it pertains to Byrd's card. These are rounds that GGG fans simply cannot fathom being scored for Canelo. It's due to a sense of entitlement amongst GGG fans that as long as GGG is throwing a lot of punches he's winning rounds. Disregarding the quality of a landed punch is one of the biggest problems in boxing judging today. It's become commonplace to count punches and give rounds to fighters based on compubox numbers or activity level. This to me is a very serious departure from how rounds are supposed to be scored.

I am not going to indulge you further in this debate because you choose to defend the indefensible.

GGG threw a lot of jabs but I think both fights went the way Canelo wanted in terms of pace and space.

I defend what I think is right. I'll defend GGG, Pac & Margarito because their style is what I admire in a fighter They FIGHT!!!!!!
I do not respect Floyd Canelo or Ward because in my book all 3 are whining cheating Divas
    End of story

And there it is you defend Margarito because you like his style of fighting. That’s your prerogative however agricultural his style is for connoisseurs of the sweet science. If that is all it is fine I would have no issues. However I do have issues with loaded gloves cheat that Margacheato is. As much as you admire him I and others detest him for his criminal skullduggery and as I have said people like him have no place in decent society less so boxing.

Pacquiao and GGG are honorable fighters, Margarito is not. You are not a true fighting man because you don’t admire the sublime skills of Floyd, Ward and Canelo.
