I agree with you up until your points about charlo. He's certainly skilled, but I'd pick canelo over him head to head.

Those "IF" theories never really cut it cause there are too many variables involved.

I hear you but that wasn't my point. My point is, because of his talent, if he had 45 fights as a professional like Canelo instead of 23, he would be miles ahead of where Canelo is now. He has a boxing brain. He thinks and adjusts. He's just not getting any good fights but I bet that if he could get four good fights in the next two years, Canelo will not be able to handle him.

No he hasn't, he stepped up against opponents except for Angulo that are bordering on impossible to look good against, yet he looked pretty decent.

I can understand that but tell me what are some of the variables that you speak of. I know it's only my opinion but I based it on solid observation and comparisons. I'm really not a stats man but I know boxing and I know talent. Everything Jermell does comes from a solid foundation. His moves, his delivery, his patience, his punch selection, his adjustments, all that is better than Canelos. The kid is a natural while Canelo is manufactured. All I need to see from him is his mental toughness. That comes with tough fights and after that, Canelo won't be able to touch him unless he gets extremely lucky. You know why?, Because he is just a better fighter.

the charlos are not even on laras level, and lara at 30 couldnt beat a pre prime version of canelo...
the charlos are nothing but the next dirrels of boxing... they will never reach superstar status...

First off, too many assumptions and erroneous claims in your post.

As far as the variables, Canelo and jermell have been led through two totally different paths for you to make the silly claim that "IF" Charlo had the same amount of fights Canelo's had he would be more "well rounded supestar". Charlo's claim to fame so far is getting a decision over a guy that was stopped in 2 by Angulo.

Charlo has a deeper amateur background, therefore he's had 2/3 more years than Canelo to hone his craft and that might be the reason he seems a bit more natural to you but even so, he has not accomplished as much as Canelo.
You can't just blindly assume that Charlo would have had sure victories over the likes of Trout, Floyd and Lara.

Your claim that Canelo is a "manufactured fighter" is on the ignorant side. If he had no talent he would have been exposed by lesser fighters than Floyd. Don't let the fact he's in been involved in some close decisions with some top notch fighters cloud your judgement.

Once again, your assumption that Charlo is simply the better boxer is dubious simply because we can't really make an apple to apple comparison based on their achievements so far. "IF" Charlo had started professional boxing @ 15, who's to say his career would not have been derailed already.

So far, Canelo has passed more tests than Charlo and I'm going to base my opinion that he would beat Charlo, if they ever meet, on that.:deal

The Charlos are assembly line Floyd clones just like the majority of other black fighters that have come out of the US for the past 5 years, they are very manufactured.

Just because Canelo is handsome why does that mean he is manufactured his whole family has been boxing their whole lives, if anyone isn't manufactured its Canelo, he just has a marketable look.

Canelo hasn't regressed, he just hasn't really improved in the last few years and has not learned how to deal with a good boxer-type fighter. He lights up more brawler-types like Angulo and looks like a combination punching machine, but he's consistently shown that he doesn't know how to create openings against a world level boxer, and his punch output dwindles massively. This was shown clearly against Gomez, Trout, Floyd, and Lara.

Despite those flaws, he has still won three of those four fights(having good backing helped as he got a BS stoppage against Gomez and won two close fights against Trout and Lara), but he needs perhaps a change in trainer to teach him how to better deal with boxers.

I don't see how u believe that Canelo is regressing. The majority of people picked him to lose to trout and Lara. The Angulo and Mayweather fights went as most expected so Canelo overall has exceeded expectations which means he's been progressing.
