No doubt about it. Joshua is gunning for Klitschko is his 18 fight.

Wilder at that point was still fighting 6 rounders against 20-11-2 level guys and still a good 10 fights away from stepping up to Audley Harrisons level.

Interesting. We dont know how far Lewison would have gone if in shape but he has suffered a defeat to Whyte and that may have affected him.

Its amazing how rich in talent the HW division is in the UK. Consider there is not even 40 HWs in the UK and over 350 in the USA and the USA #1 may possibly not be in the UK top 3.

Joshua in his 2 world title fights has beaten undefeated punchers and looking at Wladimir next. I favour Joshua to win. If it happens and Joshua wins look at how good his resume would be in under 20 fights. Like Fury he would also have a good resume for so few fights

Indeed. That Floyd Mayweather mentally in the USA these days top fighters have of elite fighters only taking fights they are pretty much guaranteed to win is one of the reasons why boxing over there is the drizzling shits while in the UK it goes from strength to strength

One thing I have noticed in the UK is that unification matches and UK champs facing world level UK fighters happening. The all UK fights create massive events.
The UK champs and fighters also have shown great willing to travel. Look at how Degale beat Dirrell away and then defended against Bute away, who were 2 fighters Ward didnt face.

Yeah. Macklin, Murray and even Brook was willing to meet Golovkin on his terms too, something Ward wouldn't do. DeGale was also happy to take B-side terms when Froch became a mega star following the Groves fights. Ward wouldn't even fanthom that idea
