In common with many other fighters after taking their first KO loss Groves seems to have become just a little gunshy or overwary of fully commiting, which is kinda understandable I guess. Unfortunately in Georges case it was his aggression and willingness to commit that was probably his primary fight winning attribute (besides a decent jab) and without it I can't see him ever really dragging himself beyond contender level.

Yeah. He needs to pick his punches more wisely and not just throw for the sake of throwing. He should go on the back foot more and box and counter punch and walk his opponent into his shots.

So what is Degale then, or Froch who GG was beating twice. What about Paul Smith who took Andre Ward 9?

GG will drop down to British level and fight Murray for big money.

What also really hurts him is his mouth. There's no shame in any of his losses but with him talking himself up before the fights only makes the fall harder. Probably for himself mentaly aswell.

Also that he's failing to realise that he's worse then Froch is a bit wierd, since it's been proved not only once but twice.

So when he picks up the phone to give me a ring i'll tell him to stop throwing and talking like a mad man. Then id try to get his confidence up and not rushing him to a forth title shot right away. If he doesn't win the next time I dont think he ever will.
