dlh certainly wasn't a corpse. you have this thing on exaggeration and it certainly doesn't make it true. pac beat dlh to the punch. when dlh was about to unleash his punches, pac tagged him with his quick and sharp lead left all night long. dlh also tried using the jab but it was effectively countered by pac's right hook. and this fight is certainly a measure of pac's potential @140. pac still retained his speed and power at 147 coming from 135. if he can hurt dlh @147, then certainly he can hurt 140-lb boxers too.

if dlh was weight-drained, it certainly wasn't pac's fault. dlh and his team made the mistake of making weight much too early during training when he was already at 147 a month before the fight. even a lot of ppl here foolishly commented that pac was even more screwed since dlh made weight so easily. but the opposite happened since apparently dlh's stomach shrank as a result of making 147 too early and in so doing only gained a few pounds for the fight itself.

and why did you only quote the first third of my post? maybe you can also answer the remaining 2/3 for us to get the full picture. here is the rest of my previous post.

Hitting a stationary Diaz with everything in your arsenal for 9 rounds before getting a TKO and making the shell of de la Hoya quit because he couldn't keep up with the movement/ speed doesn't mean Pac is a big puncher at 135 lbs+. Both were impressive performances from Pac but people are getting waaaaaay too carried away on the back of these 2 fights esp. as regards Pacs punching power.

Hatton is a career 140lber, unbeaten at the weight, has 1 defeat coming to the P4P number 1 when fighting at 147. He's never been stopped or even close to it at 140 in 45 fights, I think that tells us his chin is, AT THE VERY LEAST, "OK" and IMHO, other than an accumination type TKO like in the Diaz fight, his chin will stand up to Pacs punches.

And no jab. That lead leaping left hook is hard to land on anyone, even more so on a good southpaw. Even RJ had difficulty doing it.

Funny, the most intelligent post in this thread was done by CHJ in a thread that doesnt concern Calzaghe.

Nah, he's been at number 8 for quite a while now (he was higher when he fought Hatton).
