there are several reasons why. he hasnt fought anyone dangerous, and hasnt fought that many people. you cant compare the two, unless you are just trolling. either way it doesnt really matter. vlad is considered not just a worthy champion, but a legend of his era. and wilder? the jury is still out. he needs to really fight someone. so far he hasnt, the unkind will suggest this is because he is an accident waiting to happen. which is what makes it exciting... if he fights someone half decent.
Arreola destroyed MaCline within a few rounds. Wilder stopped Arroela with one arm. Ray Mercer was unranked and plucked from motel lobbys where he had fighting civilians for 6 years prior. Every Wilder defence was better than those two.
It took Wlad TEN years before he faced top 5 rated opposition. In that 10 years he had just ONE victory over a top 10 opponent.
I thought Klitschko has already stated that he was fighting again. He spoke of a rematch in the Joshua post fight interviews.
yet he was beaten twice with the first 3 of those years, so your logic is flawed. he fought people who were dangerous, not gimmies. you cant have it both ways. wlad faced challenges, regardless of the outcomes. wilder has shown no such predilection
Wlad should retire he was the best heavyweight in the world for a decade. Second longest title reign to Joe Louis. Nothing left to prove. He is clearly in decline and hopefully those closest to him tell him as much. Sometimes the fighter is the last to see it.
Stiverne was a challenge for Wilder. Vitali dropped his belt to avoid him. He was meant to shatter Wilders chin easily Its cache to say he is a bum NOW. But he wasted a rejuvenated , reconstituted Arroela more impressively twice than Vitali who fought a blubberly Arroela who self admitted he trained on tacos and beer. Arrolea is Vitalis best win Sanders was called a tomato can and a cherry pick when Wlad fought him.
I think the manner of his defeat to Joshua has maybe fueled the belief he's got more fights in him. Maybe he has, but unless he avenges his loss to AJ, I can't see the value in fighting on. And I'm not sure he can be much better than than the last fight as the gradual decline through ageing continues, but AJ will be improved. I suppose he could rematch Fury, but how long would he have to wait for that? He hated every minute of the build up to that fight and the fight itself, so I can't see him going there. Really, it's a rematch with Joshua or nothing. And he should choose the latter...

I think he showed enough in the first fight to be well worthy of a rematch He got knocked down and got back up and turn the tides right away and then dropped Joshua with one ****ing shot Who's to say he can't do that again and follow up and knock Joshua out ? Rematch to May would be 60/40 and Joshua's favorite--- well worth the rematch
