Not the people who count: JUDGES

Why should Floyd get a shot at the WW title since he hasnt fought a welterweight in three years. When your best wins at 147 are Baldomir and Judah you probably need to STFU.

I've always been a Floyd fan, but he's losing me these days.

The fights he is winning are against big names, but not big men, or guys even the same size as Floyd.

He's picking on little guys while Pac is picking on the bigger guys..

What I would really like to see is Floyd fight the winner of Mosley/Berto, then the winner of that fight Pac.

PBF vs MARQUEZ was a phony from the start. He didn't even fight MARQUEZ fairly. He didn't weigh in at an agreed catchweight fighting a bloated MARQUEZ. :hat

I can't believe that this is a serious question, of course he does. I personally have no problem with Mayweather's achievements at 147- Mitchell (testing himself at the weight), Judah (top dog until Baldomir upset him), then Baldomir (the linear champ), Hatton (undefeated LWW champ), then Marquez (obviously the weight favoured Floyd heavily but the performance was top quality after the long lay off).

I'd like to see him stick around and see if he can properly clean 147 out but I don't think he needs to prove anything. Really, looking at what he did objectively it's a solid set of names.

Has he earned a shot, no.

But since Pacquiao is P4P #1 and Mayweather is #2 this fight must happen.

really what does mayweather bring to the table besides a boatload of whining and the potential for a really boring fight? besides, who's he beat lately?

I say let all the welters sort themselves out, then when a true contender emerges, pac will fight him.
