I don't think so. It will be a different experience and atmosphere than he may be used to but it's not a "big mistake".

i wonder why they bother doing all these testing...apparently we have some specialist who can detect cheaters by looking at their nipples -_-

That boy aint no b!tch!! I got mad respect him going to the U.K. As long as he doesn't let Brook hug him to death he's good. I'm hoping he surprises everyone and ends it quick. Not likely but I want him and Thurman.

    No doubt.

Just using the EYE TEST vs competent but not stellar opposition, it looks like Spence, along with Lubin I should say, are quite possibly the next generations genuine elites, ie Wlad, Vitali, Kovalev, Ward, GGG, Mayweather, Pac......yeah......way too early to say, all the aforementioned are surefire HOFers and top 20ish ATGs for their perspective divisions, some, top 10 P4P ATGs.

Coming off the type of fight he had with GGG, and facing the type of fighter he is in Spence, this could be a mistake on his part just the same, especially considering he could have taken the MUCH EASIER route in moving to LMW and fighting either Hurd or Harrison for the IBF title, and Hearn would have also easily taken one of those guys to the UK.

I think Harrison is the goods, in spite of his Nelson slip up, but he's fighting at a weight he doesnt naturally make. And Hurd, also, just from the eye test, might find those defensive lapses in Harrisons game and set him way back.

Brook however, would have easily dispatched of either Harrison or Hurd, and I dare say, Spence and Lubin would as well.

Huh? He wants to fight the top WW's, claims he's a top WW, and is now set to fight a top WW. I see something worthy of respect, not a mistake. A mistake would be to say the above things but to fight guys ranked outside the top 15 (ironically, just what Brook did for many years before legitimizing himself).

Did Spence fight at the London Olympics in 2012?

Spence imo has a suspect chin and the atmosphere could get to him, but he's a big WW himself and he's southpaw. Credit to Brook to jump back in the mix.

Naw just the Porter fight, he's had a pretty good size advantage on most of his opponents. Spence is a big welter he's going to tangle him up, especially if the eye isn't 100%

I don't know, I don't really care I just wanted to counter the nipple jokes with something. Whether a dude is doped up or not makes no difference for me because it's entertainment. Drugs can only carry you so far, you still have to know how to fight.

Would that be the broken orbital he suffered at the hands of the most dominant, hardest punching MW in the World ?

    Turnip is so appropriate.
