Has there ever been a more complete (recent) fighter than JMM?

IDK, I generally dont make or maintain p4p lists. It depends on what you want to rate on. Mayweather first and then I suppose pac. Though I cant have JMM way lower than pac when I and many believe he just beat pac. So by then we are at spot 4.

It depends on what you want to go on. I think p4p in terms of skill and talent, donaire is better than martinez. He has better fundamentals, better defense, better power. He usually has a size advantage on his opponents but then again martinez had this too in some of his big wins. In terms of competition sergio probably has had better competition so based on that some will put him ahead p4p. Plus he is in the mix with pac and floyd, potentially. Where as donaire is down there all by himself in the lower weights.

 

i also have a hard time with the pound for pound list as well. to me pound for pound is not just skill but also taking chances with moving up in weight classes and being sucessful.

 

Maybe not, but I'll mention Lennox Lewis, James Toney. Kostya Tszyu could've been had he not been so in love with his power. I guess now it would be Andre Ward.
