Would have most likely ruled the heavyweight division with Klits gone. Which is very painful for me to say ! SMFH
Nah even if he held it together for a bit he would of always crumbled. I said after he won the title his reign would be short, I just didn't expect it to be this short. You can't live the life he does, with the huge weight fluctuations and expect to have a long career. Even without the mental health issues and doping scandal he would of burned out quickly like Bowe did due to lifestyle choices.
oh ffs not another Fury woulda coulda thread. He had his chance to lead the hw division and truly ****ed up. Let's talk about fighters who are actually fighting.
Maybe, I'd probably favour Tyson Fury circa 2015 against any HW right now. But at the same time I don't think we should blow too much smoke up his considerably sized arse based of off one win that stylistically suited him to a tee. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he got found wanting by somebody willing to let their hands go and force a war, something Klitschko failed to do in the first fight but promised to do in the second. I made a more in depth post about a possible Joshua/Fury fight earlier ----> How anyone thought Joshua could beat Tyson Fury is beyond me LOL Until he gets back in the ring, if he gets back in the ring, we'll never know what could have been.
Who knows how many bums could have ruled the HW division if only they applied themselves better. The number is probably in the thousands.
I don't see how AJ could even land a punch on Fury. He looked slow as hell against Takam. His counterpunching was not there and his workrrate was low. He looked twice as good against Wlad although he was DONE in round 6 totally finished and Wlad couldn't pull the trigger... fury would just jab his head off an annoy him for 6 rounds making him miss them big shots which makes him gas out.
AJ has the first ‘off night’ of his 20 fight career but still wins 9 rounds, drops and badly cuts a top ranked opponent despite a last minute change of opponent and style. I think the guy deserves a break on this one
Really, he had one good night against a gun shy Wlad. Debatably lost to McDermott in their first fight, floored by a CW USS Cunningham. His whole career fighters have landed that overhand right on him, he has below average power and could not stop AJ if they fought IMO AJ wins by KO in mid rounds.
It wasn't an off night at all he's just having to fight real tests from Wlad onwards.....no more Molina and Martin type journeymen.
My guess is that AJ, like Wlad will look better against guys his size, much bigger target to land on. Takam is tiny and used movement a lot so that's why he looked worse against him than Wlad. AJ vs Miller/Wilder/Pulev/Ortiz would be cracking fights.
Also the guy had a broken nose which of course would cause considerable pain and affect breathing. If the Joshua haters on here had got a broken nose they would be crying for days and wanting their mums.
To create that version of Fury it took so much of his discipline and dedication out of him that he is now lacking energy for his entire life. He couldn't sustain that level because he's not cut out for competing at the top for an extended period of time. Only champions are.
