I fear that 'skillset' (its been getting more and more popular over the last few months) is going to be one of those bull**** ESB words that people use to try and make a point when the facts such as a boxers achievements and record doesn't support their views.

Its quite funny to watch these 'new' words/ phrases start off from nothing and then quickly gain popularity around here....lingustic students would have a field day!!!

Well, you can use skillsets/record/ability to keep within 50lbs of your fighting weight, by any criteria Ricky Hatton ain't a top 10 fighter.

I know more about boxing now than I did then, but I watched this fight live at a mate's house and I never for one second thought there was any cheating involved.

I thought this was a step too far for Hatton (not from any detailed analysis, just from press speculation) and remember him getting tagged by huge right hands at the start of a lot of rounds. When he won I was delighted, I was a fairweather Hatton fan back in those Sky Sports days.

I don't know whether I was naive back then (regarding undherhand tactics) as I have never watched this fight again.

You most likely were. Hatton used every trick under the sun. Rabbit punching, holding, hitting and holding, low blows, the old "wink at the ref to breakup/allow clinch"

I wouldn't be suprised if his head was boaring on and was using elbows, but I can't be sure on that. I'll check again later.

Genuine question (because I am sometimes labelled a Hatton Hater) what has Mitchell done since? (I can't be bothereed to look his record up).

Yep, hopefully your unbiased research can turn up some more 'evidence'

I'll wait with baited breath for your "Hatton beat Zoo by rear naked choke" thread....

That's the crux of the whole argument. A lot of U (obviously not all) bang on as if Hatton is an all time 140 King, when he obviously isn't.
