Dude, it's as simple as this. If the waitress says Normandy's in Scotland, than Normandy's in Scotland. And if Normandy isn't in Scotland than, by God, by the time we're done with it, it will be.

On a serious note. Some people may view my posts and claim that I do Hatton bashing. This is not so. I merely tell it like it is regarding him. If that makes me guilty of bashing then so be it. I must also be guilty of bashing Jermain Taylor, Shannon Briggs, Acelino Freitas, Jason Litzau, O'Neil Bell, Cory Spinks, etc. Apparently you do not take exception to this because you don't cry when this occurs. To put it succinctly, you UK'ers are amounting to nothing more than whiners with tunnel vision. :| Nobody likes a crybaby. :boohoo :crybby :crybaby

Hook and hold.Hook and hold.Hatton's act is getting old and he is building his rep on old diminished half shot fighters with a reputation.Let him fight somebody(anybody) who is in their prime-not past it.:-(

Americans bash there elite fighters FAR more than anyone else does. PBF, Jones, Taylor, DLH, etc. We bash our fighters much more than any other country bashes their own fighters IMO.

Hatton and Calzaghe get bashed for very credible reasons. Hatton between the KT and Castillo fights by his own admission looked horrible. Combine that with the fact that Brits were pushing enormously hard after the KT fight that he could beat PBF (then he turned him down) it certainly left him open to bashing. Calzaghe needs no explanation.

Kessler? Kessler isn't bashed by Americans. He is bashed by Calzaghe fans. I don't recall many Americans saying anything about Kessler.

I feel that Americans are often targeted because we are the easy target. We no more overrate our fighters then any other country IMO. The whole source of this is that other countries want us to rate their fighters as high as they do....whilst they continue to bash our fighters (who really aren't that good as a whole anymore) at the same time. Two way street.

I like how when someone not american gets bashed it's american arrogance when the most hated fighters ARE american. PBF, Spinks, Tarver, Shannon Briggs, Rahman, and now Jermain Taylor.....The list goes on.

Waitresses deserve repect but why would anyone use them as an example of worldly wisdom. Should we Americans also believe that all Brits are soft-n-pasty like the Manchester hooligans we saw last night?:rofl

In defense of the Americans on this board (even though I'm not one of them), Hatton is by no means the only fighter on this board to get bashed after winning a fight.
Just look at the abuse Mayweather gets on a daily basis.

In my experience stupidity is not defined by borders. There are dumb people everywhere.
    And smart ones too!

Hatton is solid. Can't wait to see him fight again, but as an arrogant American I would prefer that his fans be banned from the premises in any Hatton fight on U.S. soil. ;)

Here is one AMerican who gives Hatton a lot of credit.

He beat an all time great fighter for his title, jumped up and picked up another, and just beat another near great. Yeah, the fighters in question could have been younger, but Hatton is openly calling out the generally recognized PFP best figher in the sport.

Balls like a brass ******, if you ask me.

Hatton beat Castillo, like I and most serious fans and analysts predicted he would. Castillo looked shot in his last two weak wins against mediocre opposition. My main question was if Hatton's lifestyle was catching up to him. Apparently it's not.

However, I'm not going to say that this win over an over an aging veteran who saw his best days at 135, pushing around smaller guys, is a career defining win. I'm sure Hatton wouldn't WANT this to be a career defining fight, because that would mean that he defined his career by beating up smaller, older veterans. Out of respect I should say this win is more than I said it would be before the fight? If Castillo won that fight, I would have been VERY surprised.

I also would like to see Hatton go against a genuine threat in their prime... but at 140 who is there? Witter? Vivian Harris? I don't think he'll EVER fight Witter, and Harris has shown how defeatable he is to anyone who can take him late in the fight numerous times. At 147, there are some seriously big Welters that I don't think Hatton should even be in the ring with. Margo and Cotto are the types of fighters that will put career altering hurt on Hatton. Mayweather will NEVER fight him, because he's a *****.
