Maybe but it got published 4 minutes after calling a conference and it's from his home town so you'd bet they would probably know what's going on.
if thats all it is....why is a press conference needed, we all know hes 99% retired anyway, he doesnt need a press conference to tell us that
Yeah I know what you mean, but I think there is always rumours with him so maybe if he had a conference it would finally put them all to bed and he can get on with things. I hope he is retiring to be honest.
he already announced his retirement a few months ago, there is no need for a press conference like that, he should have a tune up then a huge match vs khan, its a win/win for hatton.
I just don't want to see him hurt again, his best day's are gone and that's what we should remember him for. After all it was supposed to be the losses that drove him to drugs so why risk that again.
dam it, i was excited it then Ricky Hatton was the guy that got me into boxing origionally. I'd love it if he came back for one final fight. Against Marquez or Morales. Hopefully the MEN is just Guess work, they don't have any official quotes in there.
ya i was about to say he 'officially announced' his retirement a while back , why would he do it again. hopefully he's coming back , he's still fairly young and can bring some excitement to the sport.
i wonder what weight if he does. I'd love to see how he fares against the light welter's. Hatton vs Bradley would be awesome.
How much weight will he be able to drop at this point and still be a viable fighter?! My guess is fighting at 147?
I got into boxing sitting up with my dad watching Eubank and Benn fights but it wasnt till Hatton that I was ever really hooked on to a paticular fighter.
