I had Collazo winning by one point. hattons "aggression" in the latter half of the fight wasnt effective

Quality of punches from Collazo when landed really troubled Hatton. He couldn`t avoid Collazo`s southpaw jab and Hatton should`ve had the count for the knockdown in the 12th.But Hatton was good at pushing the fight making him work but really Collazo should`ve got the decision

I think most of the cleaner work came from Collazo, but Hatton was always the aggressor throughout the fight, this would have won him the crucial couple of rounds in the later half of the fight which sealed it. I have watched it on a handful of occasions, and scored it 114-112 the first time (Hatton 7 - 5 Collazo, with 10-8's in the first and last respectively for each), and then 113-113 the second time (six each again with the 10-8's) - in truth it could have gone either way, Collazo should see it as a missed opportunity really, but Hatton's aggression and desire will have swung it. The rounds that Hatton won were quite close (1st excepted) whilst most of Collazo's were quite big margins, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Once the scorecards were read, I knew Hatton had got it, because there was no way Collazo won by four rounds (with the deduction for KD).

    Yep.

Hatton at 140 is a totally different animal to the 147 version, Malignaggi is a slick fighter with a big heart, but doesn't have the power to keep Hatton off.

He is also much stronger at 140 than Cotto was, I can only see one result.

    Hatton KO.

I had Collazo by a point, but no robbery. It was a close fight. Hatton landed more but Collazo landed the more effective shots. I think the pole results accurately show the kind of fight it was, it could've gone either way. Hatton's inability to defend himself when charging in meant Collazo blasted him with far more shots than he would've suffered otherwise. I was really shocked watching this fight by just how much Hatton got hit unnecessarily.

He charged in blindly leaving himself open, and forcing himself to hold when he did get inside because he needed to recover from the shots he'd eaten on the way in. I thought it was a one off, the effect of a big american arrival fight, but in the biggest fight of his life 3 fights later he still made the same mistakes.

the KD won it for hatton, if that had not have happened i would have score the bout a draw and luis to keep his title.

tbh, the KD was bull**** as well, i bet luis is pissed at letting him self get knocked of balance like that, he wasnt hurt more caught whilst moving out.

After the initial viewing me and my friends thought Collazo had been robbed. Upon a second viewing I narrowly gave it to Hatton.

Terrible fight for Hatton who simply cannot make the transition to Welter and still be effective.

    Theo,

    A knockdown is a knockdown!

If Hatton had performed against Collazo as he did against Mayweather until the point deduction, he would have won easily. That said, it was a **** performance, walking in straight lines, no defence etc, and a good effort from Collazo.

I would have liked to have seen a rematch.
