Hatton will fight Mags next. Just tonight on friday night fight Brain Kenny said that Hatton in an interveiw when asked who he will fight next talked about Paulie for ten minutes then at the end said that he wanted to fight Floyd next, that was it. UMMM No he wants to fight Paulie, we Americans arent as gullible as Europeans when it comes to what are fighters say.
I got a video if you would like to see form less than 48 hours with Ricky saying Floyd is who he wants next, but i suppose you will believe a third person
Hatton IS THE 140 Champion, something Floyd never was!! It should have happened at 40, but PBF can alway's stay at 47 and fight SSM, Cotto, or the Margarito vs Williams winner:good I have to be cautious with anything said by Hatton's father!! There have been numerous misquotes surrounding his "statements". I'll wait til something more official comes a long.
What the fuk are you talking about, its in BLACK AND WHITE. And oh yeah, why dont you get us audio:good I love to call BS when I see it, and im calling bs here. As i stated that coupled with the fact that Hatton has shown a live interest in fight Paulie makes a fight with Floyd seem less and less likely by the day.
Hatton's last fight was at 140; Floyd's last fight was at 154. It's ok to fight at 147. Hatton wanted to move to 147 before the Collazo fiasco, when he noticed that he was not so great at that weight division. Fighting Gatti or Malignaggi? Please. Mayweather's the one coming from 130, not Hatton.
Like after his fight with KT when Ray said that Ricky needed a few more fighter before he would fight Floyd and all the Hatton fans told us then that he was MISQUOTED. While it dont appear that he was does it???
In black and White? Listen i dont know how you do things in the Usa but over here if the media print someone saying somethig it's quoted, now go put ur glasses on and look at the article again, there is not one quote form Rickys father saying that the fight will be at 140, the reason being he never said the fight would be at 140, the quotes i presented you in this thread are the quotes from Ray Hatton after he found out what this Newspaper had said, DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SAYING? IN HE DID SAY THIS IT WOULD BE QUOTED BUT THERE IS NO QUOTES WITH RAY SAYING THIS.
blah blah blah. If it was just the one thing maybe one would believe that, but two things in one day that suggests Hatton is more interested in fighting Paulie then Floyd coupled with the fact that hatton has already twice rejected to fight Floyd at 140 would tell a normal rational person that hatton isnt likely to take a fight with Floyd. This weight thing is just a way to get Hatton out of the fight and save some face with the hometown fans.
Seems like you have things mixed up a little. Hatton's father was misquoted as saying Ricky wasnt ready. In actuality they were still under contract with Warren and couldnt say WE WANT TO WAIT UNTIL OUR DEAl's expired as they would have tipped their intentions to frank Warren. Who up until the final week of the contract was believing he'd re-sign Hatton to a new deal. Ricky Hatton himself said his father was misquoted and I believe it. Yet, his dad seems to have a tendency to speak off the cuff and it doesnt always get interpreted correctly. As for the few more fights?? That was after PBf was at 47 and HBO had presented the 3 fight deal to get Hatton stateside exposure while building towards PBF vs Hatton. Again straight from ricky's mouth on FNF back in 06. PBF vs Hatton should have happened at 40 and if it's really that big a deal?? Negoitiate a catch weight of maybe 43:good
So Hatton will take this fight all on Floyds terms? Well floyd has been offered $10 million why didnt he accept the fight? Hatton wants to paid what he thinks he dererves, save face, this is the same guy who took a paycut to fight Kosta Tzysu, people like you do make me laugh, your just plain haters, Hatton wants this more than anything, you think making fights is black and white? Man you are a dumbass. Was Floyd ducking Margorito when he didnt accept his challenge and fight the more limited Baldomoir? No he wasnt it just didnt make financial sense at the time, Hatton aint gonna let Floyd take 80% of the pie on his terms, no one would. A fight with Floyd really doesnt do ricky that much harm if he looses, he can go back to 140 still be the number 1 there and make millions with his British tv and fans so it's win win, if he didnt want Floyd why would he mention his name at every oppurtunity? The only was this fight doesnt happen is if Floyd who still believes he is the biggest draw in boxing when he clearly isnt ( fans walking out half way through a fight) thinks he should take most of the money.
hatton is not in a position to negotiate with floyd about a catchweight. hatton doesn't even have a title
how many ppvs has hatton sold go look up his rating on hbo compared to floyds, hatton is a nobody in the states and he is using floyd's name to promote himself, plain and simple he is the worst form of a coward:deal
Believe if you like, I as well as many others here dont. Now lets be real here. For any of us that are close with our fathers the way that Ricky is close with his, there is no misquoting, only specking out of turn, or maybe saying something that shouldnt be said, doesnt make it no true. If some one were to interview my old man and ask him what I was scared of and he said clowns then he wasnt misquoted cuz Im sure over time I have proved myself scared of clowns, now would that be somehting that would would be willing to admitt??? Not likely so what can I do to fix it??? I would call my dad a lier, so you have to go with the misquoted line. It happens with Father sons all the time. With the Mosleys, when jack was quoted as saying that he shouldnt take the second fight with Forrest, it Happened with the Trinadads when Sr said after the Hopkins fight that he would never train Jr again cuz he was done. It happens all the time.
