Nah, I think people just realize that to call a world champ of 4 years "a fraud" is more than a little harsh but I guess it sums up the reactionary nature of ESB, a fighter loses so he must be either "shot", "exposed", "a fraud" or any combination of the 3. Does any fighter manage to lose and retire without daggers from the ESB "experts" lodged firmly in his back? BTW Philas poll proves nothing except people press poll buttons to try and press other peoples buttons.
Every fighter is subject to criticism, it comes with the territory. Hatton has no problem getting rich off the fans, so there should be no problem when fans blast him for performing terribly. This isn't just one bad performance either. This has been going on for some time now. When I see a fighter going around calling himself unbeatable at 140(and seeing his fans repeat that nonsense over and over again) when he's avoiding guys like Witter, only to turn around and get completely embarrassed by a guy who's not even a legit 140 lber, well then I think it's perfectly reasonable to label the guy a fraud. The fact of the matter is, Hatton's career has been carefully managed and he would have had his tail handed to him a long time ago if it wasn't. There are plenty of other fighters and athletes in other sports who are way more talented and succesful than Hatton and still get labeled as frauds.
