I'll say it. Hatton is a ****ing fraud. Look at this fight. He tried to fight a smaller guy coming from 135, instead of fighting any of the top 140 fighters in his division.

Hell, fight Lamont Peters, D-Hop, Torres, Bradley, or Holt. The man is a ****ing joke as a supposed class of the 140 division.

It is unfair to call him a fraud. The fights he won fair and square and he came over to the U.S and still beat a couple of fighters. He would be a fraud if he came over to the U.S and got dominated that same way by any fighter he faced. The truth is, he didn't face any fighter last night. From Collazo's fight, it should have been clear he had some serious defensive liabilities, however he was able to compensate with his relentless mauling style which for the most part worked against a lot of fighters. Against to very good elite fighters he failed, it just proves he was never elite. There have been many champions in the past, and there will continue to be more in the future, that weren't/aren't elite.

This is very much so true but he was heralded as a p4per at one time. Absolutely ludicrous. The guy lacked quality victories over prime opponents. And he was scare to fight people. How could he be a p4per?

Great post. I always said he was a managed fighter. I don't even know why he gets these big fights when he just embarasses himself and his fans. He beat an injury prone Zoo who he had to literally **** and hold to death to do his blugeon punching bull****, another shot fighter in Castillo who couldn't even make weight for fights and looked like **** vs. Ngoujo just prior AND prior had been in wars vs. Corrales, the 1st one where his head was literally knocked off and they brag as though these were wonderful performances. We saw the real Hatton against Collazo, getting literally hurt bunch of times and almost KO'ed in the last round to get a gift decision, then we see his holding crap against Urango and disgusting performance in the 2nd half, then we see his embarassment against Mayweather, ramming his head into a ringpost (what an embarassment) and KTFO of himself. He almost getting KTFO AGAIN and hurt vs. a 135lber in semi-retired Juan Lazcano. Against Malignaggi, his supporters bragged that he stopped him when his career ended years back in NYC when his face was blown off and finally to last night. He's just a money hungry little grub stealing the money from people like that other loser DLH likes to do. Hope he goes away now, tired of hearing "I'm fighting for the PFP Title a second time". No, your style is not PFP anything, you running your head into a ringpost is PFP disgraceful though and last night is the icing on the cake. Just GTFO and retire and go away. If his fans weren't so interested in just getting plastered and flying out to the States by the 10s of thousands, these retart promoters wouldn't see free money and we wouldn't have to see these mismatches instead of real fights between real fighters. Now hopefully, we'll get rid of this British Gatti. He's takien way too much free money and getting these big event fights when they should go to much more deserving fighters.

It certainly does. Ricky was only ever capable of winning titles against fringe titlists and shot name fighters. No one gave Joppy kudos for flattening Duran. The same didnt happen when Berbick battered Ali. For some reason Hatton fans quote his win over Kostya as though it was some punctuation point. Kostya was retired. He wasnt even going to fight Hatton and instead wanted Harris who came into the ring after the Sharmba Mitchell bout.

Warren was able to tempt him because it was his biggest pay day to date. Solid victory over a name but an extremely poor pretense. There has NEVER in the history of this sport been a fighter who has defended a fringe world title so many times and gone on to beat the best names in this sport. It simply doesnt happen. Those belts exist for a reason. Namely because there a solid indication of a fighters talent or lack of.

When did he pretend to be something that he is not? He didn't pretend to be the unified champ at 140 he was.

Just because he took on two of the best fighters in boxing history (Pacquiao and Mayweather) does not make him an fraud. Just because he thought he could beat those guys when he couldn't doesn't make him an impostor, it makes him a champion who wanted to take on all comers.

He should have been KO'd by a blown up featherweight who hadn't fought in over a year. He was beaten to a pulp by Juan Urango, a rookie fighter out of Colombia with no world class experiance to that point. He was beaten to a pulp be Collazo. These guys are not elite level fighters, yet they all gave Hatton more than he could handle. The man is a joke, he was pretending to be a true champ when in reality he wasn't, which is why he never fought any of the top competition in his own weight class.

A carefully managed career that led him to fight two P4P kings, and 2 more P4P elite. Yeah, what a ducking **** Hatton is.:patsch

So he was only a B+ fighter against Tszyu?:lol:

    That is utter bollocks. :rasta

Ricky might not have been elite when he took on Mayweather and Pacquiao, but he was A- (at least) the night he made Tszyu quit. :hi:
