Dude everyone that seen the fight knows Hatton got a gift. ANd that knockdown was AFTER he held collazos head down with one arm and hit him while off balance.. Collazo who only had 10 KOs at the time had Ricky on ***** street jumping around and tryin to survive.

yeah well what you suggest? outboxing him? Countering? Pot-shotting?

The only people who have had the REMOTEST success against Maywether are Castillo and De La Hoya. They used pressure and aggression. Judah used pressure, but we all know that Judah can only sustain it for about 3 rounds before blowing his load. Hatton gave it a brave effort, and lets be right in the first 4 or 5 rounds he made Floyd fight out of his skin.

What other tactic has worked? You think Cotto's gonna march down Mayweather with a decent jab? HA!

Ricky Hatton is being criminally underrated because of the Mayweather loss. Prior to mayweather anyone suggesting he'd lose to Witter or Malinaggi would've been laughed off the board. Boxing fans are fickle and have short memories.

Name ONE fighter who gave Hatton any trouble at all at 140lbs? The only fights he had any trouble with were at 147lbs. Collazo, which he WON, and Mayweather, who is the best boxer since Roy Jones Jr.

At 140lbs Hatton is undefeated and imperious. No-one has given him any trouble at his natural weight. ****, even Kostya Tszyu couldn't do it. If Kostya couldn't do it, you think Malinaggi can? :rofl:rofl

Ricky is a TRUE FIGHTER. I have a great deal of respect for his courage and toughness. If only he took better care of himself. I'd take him over Malignaggi, Torres, Ortiz, and Holt, but I'm not sure about Witter.

To be honest Hatton 2 best fights at 140 were washed up old fighters. Let see how he does against the young guns in the division.

Frankly Hatton is neither a Messiah, or ****. He is a 140 pounder. He was a monster in the Hatton/Tszyu fight. His performance jumped out leaps and bounds as a inteligent well crafted fight from Ricky, showing a great ability to halt any plans of Kosta's to enter the fight for prolonged periods of time.

But the fact is its not 2005, its 2008 and Hatton has retreated into a aimless sort of street fighter. He doesnt stalk or dominate anymore, he follows and smothers. He's ceased to throw jabs, which, well I dont really have to explain that. Hatton needs to polished and led back to the 140 pounders, **** welterweights it just aint his thing.

A decent trainer would rectify all this.

:rofl at the jokers here who thinks hatton is better than/ has had a better career than cotto. with some good fighters at 140 let hatton clean out that division to prove his greatness. tszyu was a fantastic win, but castillo, pendleton, phillips etc... were way past it.

What "shot"? Hatton ate about 100 shots before Floyd could get him out of there. It took 10 ****ing rounds for the "world's best" to defeat him.

    shane mosley
    carlos baldomir
    antonio margarito
    paul williams.

there isn't a welter that would be stupid enough to lunge in with a WIDE left hook like hatton did.
