Wait a minute! Hatton lost to the best fighter in the world in Mayweather. Mosley may indeed still have enough to beat Ricky, but Floyd would skool Mosley like he's never been skooled before! Since Mosley has moved back to Welter, people were saying how he's the one who could truly test Mayweather, even beat him perhaps. FFS, Mosley was beaten to the punch by Cotto, who is a quality fighter in his own right, but has never been blessed with exceptional handspeed. Cotto outboxed & outfought Mosley. Ricky still has a lot left to give. All those people saying he's ducking Witter, it's all about timing. The fight will happen, make no mistake about that, just not yet. I reckon the fight will happen at the end of the year. Does one really think Hatton will not box Witter, only for people to say you avoided Witter when Ricky's retired? Margarito would be too brig & strong for Hatton, I grant you that. However, Antonio would also beat Mosley up.
there isnt anyone at 140 hatton cant beat,hes number 1 end of.as for hatton-cotto,cotto would win at 147 today,but if they'd have fought at 140 hatton would of stopped him in 8 or 9,140 hatton&147 hatton are 2 completely different animals.
Ive already made my opinion clear on the subject but a few points of contention. Hatton has regressed, take that into account. Isnt it time he sorted out a new gameplan? Hatton is an absolute animal. People are slagging him off and saying Cotto is better, and I think Cotto is better, yes. But if Hatton had took a fight with Gomez he would have been ripped to shreads on this forum, but if Cotto chooses to fight Gomez, then it is OK.
