Ricky comes from the Hattersley estate in Hyde. Hyde is already a poor town (he still lives here though but in a nicer area) but Hattersley is a notoriously run down area with high crime rates. Hattersley is where Ian Brady and Hindley lived when they were arrested. It is just an estate of council flats, very very run down. Yes, Ricky's family were very poor but his parents worked hard with their business until they could finally move out of the estate when Ricky was in his mid (or late) teens. The area they live now is still a working class area but nowhere near as grindingly impoverished and crime ridden as the estate. Billy is from a part of Salford which has some of the highest crime rates in Europe, higher than most places in America. And anyway, I believe it was discovered that Floyd comes from somewhere that in no way resembles a ghetto. Grand Falls (or is it Grand Rapids, I can't remember) which seems like a nice place, there are posters who live there or there abouts and all say it is a nice middle class area. The one important thing is, most of us respect Floyd a lot (might not like him but there are real reasons not to like him) while very few of you show any respect to Hatton.

Of course there are people of that discription supporting Ricky but no more so than anyone else, you get them in every walk of life. I have seen some Ricky fans on here that have made me cringe but the vast majority on here are intelligent, decent people, the complete opposite to the Hatton haters. Just read this thread, you have Strike (I mention his name because he has been most vocal on the Ricky side) who remains calm, posts intelligently, makes good points and remains respectful. It is the same with every other poster in this thread who is supporting Ricky. Now, compare that to 98% of the Hatton haters in this thread, rabid hatred and anger, completely irrational, obnoxious, ignorant and arrogant, disrespectful to anyone and everyone who doesn't agree with them, rude and at times quite dumb. At the best they are guessing about him, at worst they are making up complete lies

yeah I'm familiar with most of Manchester and lived in Salford for 3 years. It's probably the roughest place I've lived and had I got a south English accent would've probably taken a few pastings which part is Graham from, you know? anyway, I enjoyed it there. basically I don't like Hatton's fighting style, his constant cheesy talk and the fact he's ducked Witter. I think he's overrated and in for a beating on Saturday. That's all. as for the ghetto stuff and Maywerather....it's pretty common knowledge he's making it up, **** knows why.
