If anything, you could probably argue Bradley was the man and that Hatton was just holding on his Ring Magazine title...maybe...

  2. like i said go check the measurements of either fighter dimwit....... pacquiao 1/2 inch height advantage, pacquiao 2 inch reach advantage, pacquiao 1 inch bigger at the neck, pacquiao 1 inch bigger at the chest, both 13 at the bicep, pacquiao 1 inch bigger at the wrist, and oh look the only place hatton measures up bigger than pacquiao is at the wasit and thigh :patsch pacquiao then measures up substanially larger especially considering he is the taller man...

hatton was so done that he was actually ranked the top guy at 140 after beating 2nd ranked malignaggi to a pulp that led to a stoppage. not even cotto before had stopped paulie. and hatton was virtually the same age as pacquiao with pacquiao having the older ring age and more wars.

As much as we hate to say it, Hatton was shot. After 'that' victory against Tszyu, he tried bulldozing through opponents and that had a significant effect on him.

He'd been hit harder by others than what Manny hit him with, but his time had come. The years of weight abuse and fighting the way he did, finally caught up with him. Oddly, he did 'box' against Malignaggi, showing what he could do, he was quicker, more mobile, and outboxed a boxer, when most thought that given Paulie's feather hands, Hatton would try and steamroller him too.

Hatton was well past his peak when he fought Manny. Sorry, but he was.

He was on a substantial decline when Mayweather dealt with him, and I don't think anyone who knew anything about boxing thought Hatton would win that one either. I sat with a dozen mates that night, and only two of us thought Hatton would lose, both of us boxing fans, not Hatton fans. Although don't get me wrong, I wanted to see Hatton win (British pride etc) but it wasn't going to happen.

Hatton was a world class fighter though, PBF and Manny are ATGs though.

Hatton was ****ed weeks before the fight, you could sense in in the 24/7. Plus he was perfect for Manny, never took a step back with crap defence.

Cotto was also a shell after Margo detroyed him and he's always had a questionalble heart IMO

He wasn't properly stopped or in danger of it, his corner threw in the towel and Malignaggi was livid about it.

Pretty sure he quit McGirt after that.

  10. ok but would u rather your fighter measured up the bigger man where it matters or that he put away a fry up and some fast food after the weigh giving him no visable advantage ?

  11. ahh finally, i agree that pauli should have seen the last bell i dont believe he was at all hurt and thought it was a pointless stoppage.

Hatton was 152 on fight night against Pacquiao, about 5 lbs heavier than Pacquiao. Hatton even Visually was much stockier and more muscular.

Hatton had a much thicker, natirally stronger look that Pacquiao, Broader shoulders, thicker. Hatton may have ballooned between fights, but come weigh in/fight night he was always in great shape.

He always looked ridiculous on the scales, almost skeletal at 140.

I dont get why people want fights but then discredit the winner, like if froch beats ward, ward was a bum anyway or if donaire beats gamboa yeah he was done... Why always discredit wins rather than give credit?

Can't really comprehend how you define "the smaller man". Hatton was 140lbs during weigh in and climbed the ring at 152 lbs while pacquiao was 138 lbs during weigh in and was 148 lbs at fight night. How the hell did Hatton become the smaller man?

Now I'm certain. Your brain is smaller than you think.
