That was a disgusting whinge. It's quite sad how dellusional he has become.

Presumably that reporter doesn't think the things Hatton did to Tszyu were a disgrace.

For a man of the people he's not taken this defeat with the grace one would expect from a man of such standing.

    Because of risk/reward...

So...until Hatton fights him, my attitude to Hatton will be: :finger

Nope not round & round. Just pointing out the flaw in JonOli's argument. The same way there is flaw in the argument that Witter hasn't done anything to deserve a shot at Hatton but somehow Lazcano has.

[sigh] Lascano isn't about fighting the best fighter, its about getting a few rounds and a bit of confidence back after a big loss.[/sigh]

    But we've done this before....:D

Getting confidence back for what exactly? Malignaggi a man who should have lost his last fight then a man who will knock him out again anyway.

In Hattons position you'd fight Witter instead of rematch Mayweather? Truthfully...??

Thats not a bad end to Hattons career I've posted up.

As long as Hattons boxes the Witter fight is always going to be there for him. Why throw away other top opportunities which wont.

Gaz, mate, in Hatton's position I would rematch Mayweather for the money and same the same **** he is saying. But deep down, I would know I am selling out. I wouldn't expect any respect from the fans either...:deal

Depends if your including the Witter fight. If he gets knocked out by Mayweather again & still doesn't fight Witter then history will treat him very badly.

Yep, I mean including the Witter fight. I'll be honest though, outside of hardcore fans, history won't treat Hatton too badly at all for not fighting Witter.

20 years from now a quick resume of his career will just end with the line "...unfortuneatly a much anticipated clash with fellow Brit Junior Witter failed to materialise".

Losing to great fighters doesnt make you a legend even if you do it twice. At the moment he has a win over Tszyu & a shot Castillo.

I havn't said it does. I'm just giving a realistic view of Hattons career as viewed years from now. If they don't fight each other Witter will be a footnote in Hatton career, nothing more. All this cliched stuff about "history not treating him kindly" is way off the mark.

The "history not treating him kindly" is not just related to the Witter fight but I'm tired now & we've done this before. I'm glad you enjoy watching Hatton & that you can tolerate his silly interviews.:good

Not just related to Witter? So what does your post saying "If he gets knocked out by Mayweather again & still doesn't fight Witter then history will treat him very badly." mean?

    Thats a little childish....

We really are getting bogged down with semantics tonight aren't we Gaz? Would you prefer to reconverge tomorrow because this is going nowhere. If you rate Hatton thats great. Personally I'm tired of hearing him speak.
