it would sell out but you could sell 100,000 tickets here and still have people locked outside. it would make history. why should vegas get the big fights ? especially when there is not an american in sight. the sport is declining in the US and you don't deserve a fight of such magnitude taking place there solely cos it will make some faceless execs more money. both fighters would undoubtedly prefer fighting in front of 100,000, fans of both would want it held here , why on earth shouldn't it be? and you talk about a fair playing field, the US always has 3 US judges and a US ref in your fights. in the UK all judges and the ref would be from a neutral country. it would be fair.
He took 2 from Lazcano and was on wobbly legs. If the ref hadn't stopped the action a 3rd one might have done the trick. Pac will finish him faster than he did De La Hoya. :smoke
Selling out the MGM Grand = 17000 people. That's ridiculous for a fight of this magnitude which could easily sell 100000 tickets. Boxing has never been about 'neutral territory' (and I wonder what other fights you have suggested this for, maybe you could give some examples?)
It looks like Floyd and Hatton are both racing each other for the Pacman fight. I hope Pacman picks Hatton. But Pacman shouldnt be put in any pressure to pick who immediately he deserves rest and spend time with his expected new baby.
i'd be massively pissed off if hatton v pacquaio took place in vegas. would just prove once and for all that money is king and the tv companies run the show, not the fighters. if you asked either fighter they would want it where the biggest crowd would be . the sport suffers , and the fans suffer.
Do it in the Philippines then! The other 2 parts of the archipelago would be vacant! everyone's going to watch!
wouldnt have a problem with that. it would be amazing. but wouldnt fit in with US audiences so unlikely to happen .which is wrong.
