Fair enough. But the comment should have not been made and in this day and age he should not make comments to that affect, especially since he made the comments to Calzaghe who said nothing but I am going to beat you :good
So what if he hung around with Bernard Manning. I have friends that are racist, but are not one myself. And as for me being a female, if I racially abused you, it would be burning effigies in the streets and allsorts!
I like Hopkins game in the ring.As for his personality i couldnt give a crap.Im a fan of boxing. Not fighters who are just "nice". Its abundantly clear that Hop has a big mouth and has put his foot in it more than once.I remember when he was a nobody prior to beating Tito and fought hard and long to get his dues. Now his arrived he`ll never keep his mouth shut. The best thing to do is ignore his crap.
I agree. With most crap you should ignore it, but he should have had something about that. But meh, Calzaghe is going to beat the crap out of him so no matter :yep
Ill say it once and I will say it again, some of you guys are not boxing fans but a just fans of a particular boxer...You guys care about the most trivial bull**** that has nothing to do with boxing Go watch Poker or bowling if you want to find people who you would rather have a pint with:hi: Boxing aint your sport
As a fighter Bhop, as a human being Hatton without doubt. I dont care what you X-fools say but Bhop is a ****ing racist, felon, and no one can put a spin on that. Now with that being said, I hope BHOP ****s Calzaghe up.
I respect Hopkins a lot more because he respects the sport a lot more than Hatton. He dedicated his life to it in a way like almost nobody else has in recent years. I like/respect them equally as people, they both have very admirable traits. The old Hopkins has become annoying with all the bull**** talk, but I ignore it usually because of how much I respect what he has accomplished in boxing and in life.
And you boy would not have the courage to call me son to my face, keyboard warrior..And second you are having a hard time comprehending what Im trying to convey to your slow ass.. Why should I care about a persons personality as it pertains to boxing?? What he does outside the ring dont concern me ...This is boxing, not American idol:deal
Sensitive are we? I would have the "courage" to call you son because it does not take "courage" get a grip. It is not like i invited you to come ahead, :hey. Also if you were to want to go ahead with everybody who gave you a bit of stick in glasgow. You would be in fights all the time; grow the **** up, pumpkin :good Also read my posts; As a boxer Hopkins by a mile but as a man Ricky Hatton. American Idol? You ****** these guy's are role modles to kids who look upto them saying: "I would never let a white boy beat me" is not what I would like to intoduce a great boxer like :good
not a fan of either as a boxer, but Hopkins is less overrated than Hatton. as a person...who knows? People who know Hopkins and whose opinions I generally respect suggest Hopkins is not a pleasant individual at all. His intimate relationship with DLH also suggest he's a ****. Hatton is a slimy toad.
To be honest, I dont much like Hatton. He has become obsessed with his own image as a down to earth guy who plays darts in his local, and will not for 5 minutes just STFU about it. Hopkins as a person turned his life around when he went to prison. OK he got sent there in the first place but look what he did when he got out. Prison made him what he is today. And obviously, he is a supremely dedicated athlete, and I have a huge respect for that. He is an arrogant egomaniac however. Hatton is as well though, in many ways. I respect Hopkins more. He turned his life around and is probably the most dedicated athlete around. What he lacked in raw talent he made up for with hard graft, and has accomplished more than Hatton ever will.
Well dumbass, maybe their parents need to sit their kids down and explain to them that "all athletes are not rolemodels"...And also in that informative sitdown explain to the child that its important that we dont define people based off what we see of them on tv..Humans are very complex thinking individuals and what we see on tv and hear about secondhand may not be the whole story..Never judge a man you have never met. But I see your parents did not have that sitdown with you:deal
