Pavlik wasn't KTFO by smaller men. He wasn't KTFO by anybody. He beat the man who twice beat the record-setting, HOF-lock king of the division (a better division than was Ricky and Kostya's at the time)...then beat him again. He's the better fighter, and had the better career.
Hatton was never outboxed as bad as Pavlik was by Martinez or Hopkins. Even in the Mayweather and Collazo fights they were somewhat competitive, while Pavlik on the other hand looked awful against the elite. Resume wise Hatton lost to the P4P best. Castillo, Tzu wins are greater than Taylor and Miranda
Pavlik is an very good fighter at 160 but Hatton has some really nice wins in 2 divisions on his resume.
Hatton easy. Hatton is top 20 at least, all time...at JWW, I don't think you can say the same thing for Pavlik at MW. Hatton lost two amazing fighters, and you can compare their first loss. Hatton was right in the fight up until the stoppage against Mayweather, Pavlik was no where near Hopkins after 12. Hatton by a country mile.
That most people considered his conquerors "top pound for pound" guys when they beat him is irrelevant - Hatton himself was supposed to be at the top end of those same pound for pound lists at the time. When bearing that burden, you're not supposed to be blitzkrieged and KTFO by someone half your size. He didn't just lose to the best, he was destroyed. And wasn't really competitive with Mayweather, actually. Also got pretty clearly outboxed for most of the Collazo fight. A win over a blown up shot Castillo isn't greater than Rubio, let alone undefeated Miranda. Both Taylor wins trump a dispassionate Tszyu.
