He didn't give up, he was hurt. His legs were gone. As soon as he got up from the knockdown you could see he was on his last legs.
Exactly after his head went into the turnbuckle I said "this fight is probally over" Floyd was hitting him with too many Flush shots when he committed. Ricky was just too weak and couldnt continue. Give up? Bull****.
Yep. I was surprised he got up in the first place as he went down hard. When he got up he was definitely already wobbly before he was even touched again. He avoided a Mayweather shot by shifting backwards and kind of bumped his legs together. Sure sign he was on the way out. After Mayweather cracked him a few more times it was lights out.
Let's give Rick a little credit. He didn't give up. This isn't in his nature at all. The whole thing with Rick is that he never stops, even when hurt he still keeps the pressure up. In a way, it's a bad mistake because he gets too full of bravado. Remember Rick said Floyd would have to kill him before he gave up? Well that's true.
i dont think he fell on purpose. . i think a nasty left hook had more to do with that then anything. . but i do think he was frustrated. When he turned his back and showed floyd his rear end. . he wasnt telling him to kiss it. . he was showing him where it hurt
