I don't think you can play Stevie & Lamps in the systems that we've been playing them in. Capello will test them both out for the first couple of friendlies (together/apart) and go from there - he does prefer physically large/workrate players tho, so I wouldn't be suprised if he plays them together in future. Robinson will be out, in comes James (Carson behind him), Terry as captain still, 100th game for Beckham and judge him on a game-by-game basis, Ferdinand will have to pull his socks up, Lescott will return to mediocrity, and Ashley Cole will be told that if he comes off the pitch at the end of the first friendly with no white chalk on his boots, then he'll be out. I'm just hoping he doesn't fall for the Owen trap - he's become a walking medical centre.
With the dumbass decisions your managers make I would'nt be surprised. So it sorted out..you play up front for England and Hatton is a grappling, hugging conundrum:good
Well its got to be stevie over lamps i would have to say. I know but with owen you are guareented goals and is partnership with rooney will be the key.
Err... when did Britain win the World Cup? More importantly, when did the USA win the World Cup?? Not a really avid football fan, although I've been lucky enough to see a World Cup final, I was unlucky enough for it to be Germany vs Argentina in 1990. atsch But, the hype about Gascoigne in Italy at that time was insane - they absolutely adored the guy.
Cheers i am still bitter over that 6-0 drubbing you gave us in the carling cup at boundary park a few years back.
Agree with you about Stevie/Lamps. Even tho I'm a Liverpool fan, and despite Stevie not being the same since he bust his foot (which people seem to have handlily forgotten), he has that ability to grab the game by the balls and get it under control. Thing about Owen is, how many goals has he scored in the last 3 years? I know he's hungry to play for England, but Capello has the chance to pick 3 or 4 possible replacements to fit in with Rooney and see them bust their balls to prove to him they are worth a shot. I'd be interested to see if Capello give Carra' a ring. Despite what some may feel was a rather dramatic exit from internation play, he's still a world-class defender.
That'd be funny if it weren't so true. Spurs really are like the proverbial box of chocolates this year. (P.S. Don't you mean Championship? Damn, why didn't they stick to Division 1, 2, 3, 4 - was so much simpler)
Im another poor spurs fan, though i truly believe ramos giving a year and once he gets in who he wants can do something good with us
